The appetizers and desserts we ordered were excellent. The French toast was incredible. The staff was welcoming.

Excellent meal, just like the first time in April of this year. My husband had sole meunière and I had skate wings with brown butter and capers, served with mashed potatoes. Impeccable service with smiling waiters, as well as the owner. I highly recommend it.

A lovely and very pleasant place. The service is warm and impeccable, all the staff are friendly. The food is excellent. The stuffed mussels are very good, the fish and chips delicious with great fries. Not forgetting a real Liège chocolate with three scoops of chocolate! 👌 We will definitely come back to explore the menu 😉 I highly recommend it 👍

A restaurant just the way we like them, and dogs are welcome in the dining room, which is always a plus. The food is excellent, always a sure thing. And the service is top-notch; the staff and owner are fantastic. Highly recommended, we love it, it's our holiday go-to spot.

A slightly more upscale restaurant, but definitely worth the trip. The oysters were exceptionally fresh, a real treat. Local produce is showcased, which makes all the difference in terms of taste and quality. The service is impeccable, with very kind, professional, and attentive waiters. The setting is pleasant, and the experience lives up to the price. An excellent choice for seafood lovers.

The terrace was lovely and pleasant in summer. The waiter was very friendly, smiling, and cheerful. Disappointed by the carpaccio; the portion was very small for the price. The same went for the mussels. We were left wanting more. The salad was appetizing and decent. The risotto was well-prepared. Thank you for the warm welcome; that was a big plus.

After several disappointing experiences in the area, what a pleasure it was to end our stay at La Maison des Coquillages! We walked past several restaurants before stopping here. The terrace and dining room were already quite full. Without a reservation, we thought we'd have to leave. The manager asked us to wait a few minutes… and five minutes later, a table was waiting for us. The welcome was warm from beginning to end. A smiling, efficient, and well-organized team, with a real sense of pace but without any hustle and bustle. Mussels in cream sauce with potato petals (€17.50) and the Norman menu (€28): skate wing with brown butter and capers, homemade mashed potatoes, followed by crème brûlée. About ten minutes later, both dishes arrived at the same time. Even before tasting them, our eyes were already feasting! The presentation was meticulous, and everything was perfectly cooked. Special mention goes to the skate wing, meltingly tender and perfectly seasoned, as well as the crème brûlée, which provided a delightful ending to the meal. Excellent value for money, impeccable service, and an address we will gladly remember. If we return to Houlgate, we already know where we'll have lunch.
