Came here with my boyfriend for a date night in Colmar. Great food, pork cheek was melting in my mouth, and the cream of asparagus, I could drink a whole bowl! Old man serving us was very polite and friendly, he recommended a great golden Gewurtztraminer wine! Service was a bit slow, that’s the only thing I’ll say!

The Michelin Green Guide recommended this establishment, and the menu looked quite tempting, so I headed to Maison Rouge for dinner (it's best to book, especially during peak season). The salmon was delicious, accompanied by a sauce that perfectly complemented it. The wine, a Gamay, recommended by a smiling and humorous woman, was also an excellent choice. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and the time I spent in this restaurant, despite the heatwave.

The food is prepared with a lot of care. Although the balsamic dressing is a bit over taken the lobster roll. The quality of meat is very good and tender but a bit too salty. It was a very busy night with only two people doing all the service including preparing for the drinks, which made the quality of service down and more time on waiting! This brings down a bit for the overall experiences!

Visited at the start of the Pentecost weekend. The daily special was Ventux mountain pork and apple crisp. Excellent, no complaints. The service is poor considering the prices and the quality of the food. We overheard at the next table that no server stays more than a few months at this establishment, and our neighbors were just as bothered as we were. But above all, after having eaten there three times in a year, I can clearly see that the building is neglected and becoming filthy; this kind of establishment deserves to be gutted and renovated. You can feel the dampness; the dining room is stuffy. The ventilation system is from the 1930s. Beware of the surprises that must be brewing in the kitchen. One wonders how the health and safety commissions allow this type of establishment to exist.

The restaurant was very well managed by the owner himself, and the food was fantastic. We enjoyed ribeye steak, rump steak, and a fish fillet. A very extensive wine list perfectly complemented the meal.
All in all, a wonderful dinner with delicious food and an appealing dessert.

A lovely, traditional Alsatian restaurant just outside the most touristy area of Colmar.
The interior is charming, though somewhat hampered by the narrow entrance where you have to wait for someone to bring your table.
The menu features traditional dishes that embrace the region's specialties.
The dishes are excellent, well-cooked, beautifully presented, and plentiful.
The prices are in line with the quality and quantity.
The service is a bit slow; the owner "goes out of his way," but even with a reservation, we waited five minutes at the door before anyone showed up.

We managed to get a table at lunchtime and had a very good meal! Our waiter was attentive and quick-witted. The sauces were incredibly delicious, and the custard was absolutely superb.
