La Mère Poulard sur Le Mont-Saint-Michel

We had a great time, the food was good, and the evening service was very pleasant.

Room 31 is spacious and pleasant, offering a sea view. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay there overnight due to a strong, unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom. Thanks to the intervention of the restaurant manager, we were able to change rooms. The restaurant service is excellent: we enjoyed the signature menu, and the staff was very friendly. We particularly appreciated Kellia and Armondo, who served us with smiles and great care, providing helpful explanations to ensure we made the right choices.

I've heard that La Mère Poulard was a Norman place to be visited and it is true: This restaurant is a must place to be visit to achieve a unforgettable visit to Mt. Saint Michael. This is an experience, as you taste tradition and history on your dish. I've had an excellent service and a delicious omelette while looking the granite of the site and an ojival arch. Best after 2:00 pm because is less crowded and you'll have time to admire the decoration including some art nouveau posters and celebrities photos who had visited the place in the past.

An iconic place steeped in history, but one that relies a little too heavily on its fame. The setting transports you to another time and has seen many famous figures pass through its doors. A glimpse of the kitchen upon arrival raises doubts about impeccable cleanliness. The upstairs dining room, meanwhile, seems abandoned. The service is adequate but could be more friendly and attentive. As for the dishes, the prices are excessive, but we fully embraced the experience with two omelets and cider. We were happy to try this emblematic dish. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. It's a shame the staff doesn't put more heart into their work.

A perfect staff, perfect beyond perfect... attentive and everything. Thank you so much to the receptionists! We had booked a hotel on Mont Saint-Michel... it was actually in the industrial zone, and two magicians transformed this nightmare into a sweet dream. Thank you so much! Thank you also to the restaurant team... Now that's a great anniversary!

Excellent location, warm welcome, and great service – thanks especially to Kilian and Sylvain. Mère Poulard's omelets lived up to their reputation – simply excellent! 👍 Hot drinks were offered for a birthday dinner – a very thoughtful touch.

I think the location is as good as it gets on the island. It’s right inside the city walls, which was great because we had a decent size suitcase that I wouldn’t want to drag through the town. (We did have to lug it up a big flight of stairs, but I don’t think that can be avoided!) The room was nice, although the carpet could probably use replacing and the window sills need a fresh coat of paint, but the bathroom was newly renovated and everything was clean and well kept. The only real complaint is that it took several hours for the radiator to warm up the room, but it did eventually reach a comfortable temperature. And watching the sunrise from bed in the morning was beautiful. The best feature of this hotel is the restaurant. The service in the restaurant was lovely. The food is quite pricey, even by French standards, but it was good food and the atmosphere is quite pleasant. The breakfast spread had a nice variety and excellent cheese. If we were to return to Mont Saint Michel, we would stay here again.

We'd often walked past it, but had never eaten there. The famous omelet is excellent. Kylian gave us great service.
