Excellent family meal. Very warm welcome, home cooking from scratch, traditional French cuisine of a good standard, culminating in an exceptional pâté en croute. But we won't forget the delicious desserts. Highly recommended.

I wanted to discover a new restaurant and I came across La Coq'Hôte. As soon as I arrived, I was impressed by the decoration: the pictures of funny chickens add a touch of humor. These same chickens are of course offered à la carte. The welcome was very warm, as it should be in an establishment of this size. The staff, waiter and waitress, were extremely professional and made us have a great time. This restaurant is off to a really good start!
The general atmosphere is pleasant, we feel good. Separate toilets for men and women are an advantage compared to some establishments.
The menu offers choices for all tastes without being too long, which testifies to the quality of the dishes. The names of local producers are listed on the front page of the menu, showing their commitment to local products. They work with local producers and we eat local, which is admirable.
As for drinks, you will find the usual aperitifs and a well-stocked wine list. I tasted the Condrieu Les Chays AOP 2019, which was exquisite and went perfectly with the zander. The house cocktail is also incredibly good! No classic Coca-Cola but Organic Coke and Organic Ice Tea, much better. For children there is an affordable menu, as well as a vegetarian menu and options for allergy sufferers on request. Everyone can find what they're looking for.
Price-wise, it’s affordable and reasonable. You have the cheaper daily menus and a Menu-CARTE at €36.00, a Starter-Main or Main Course-Dessert formula at €27.50. Contrary to what some might think, we don't get exorbitant prices. The restaurant is also listed in the Michelin guide from 2018 to 2021.
Now let's talk about what I ate. As a starter, I had the Garden Tomato Cream, incredibly good, with clean and careful dressing. Bravo to the chef and his team. I also tasted the Pressed roast chicken and sunny vegetables in Bresse pepper jelly (organic), delicious.
For the main course, I chose the pan-fried pike perch fillet, lemon-thyme and saffron cream, summer vegetables. It was simply excellent, with careful dressing. I also tasted the veal shank cooked tenderly like an “osso bucco”, a Milanese sauce. I had never eaten one before, but now I know where to find a good one: at La Coq'Hôte. Also, I didn't see any sauce spilling out of the plates or bowls, everything was clean and neat.
For desserts, I had two scoops of ice cream, good and served in an impeccable glass. The second dessert, the Apricot, Lavender and Dark Chocolate Dessert, was incredibly beautiful and well presented.
All the tables are very well set, the glasses and plates impeccably cleaned, without any trace. I also really appreciated that the chef came and introduced himself at checkout, showing his commitment to his customers.
Finally, a few suggestions: I would love to see chocolate fondant or mousse added to desserts. For the tomato velouté, adding a second match of candied onions and cream cheese would be nice.
In short, go for it without hesitation. See you soon !

Good morning,
we discovered this restaurant last week as a family. We were surprised by the decoration which is prettier than in the photos, a warm atmosphere as soon as we entered! the waiters and chef we met were really very friendly and smiling !a cozy, quiet atmosphere. The most interesting thing being the food anyway^^ really very good, quite copious, I loved the quenelle with lobster sauce, for my son the Zander was excellent, as well as the desserts, plus the wine was at the top. We will definitely return and we recommend it with our eyes closed.
