La Musardine sur Chartres

The welcome was absolutely fantastic from the moment we walked in, immediately setting the tone for a wonderful experience. La Musardine offers top-quality traditional French cuisine, with homemade dishes where you can taste the expertise and care put into every plate. The icing on the cake is the excellent value for money. For food of this caliber, the prices remain quite reasonable, which isn't so common. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and generous cuisine, served with a smile. I will definitely be back!

A very good little restaurant! The service was pleasant and efficient, the place was quiet, and the menu was equally so. Not huge, but with a varied selection and the dishes were excellent.

While out in Chartres on Tuesday the 28th, we had the full menu: "Salade Folle," salmon stew, and chocolate éclair. The whole meal was truly delicious, and the service was impeccable. Keep up the good work, gentlemen! I know where to eat next time in Chartres.

The waiter's kindness was worthy of note. The bathroom and restaurant could use a bit more cleaning. The food was average.

Wandering through the winding streets of Chartres' old town, we stumbled upon this unassuming little establishment. However, don't let that first impression fool you. The welcome is warm, as is the service, and a special mention goes to the daily special and dessert. The duck breast was perfectly crispy. Even the bill wasn't steep (15 euros for the andouillette sausage compared to 17-18 euros elsewhere).

A very pleasant place, with an incredibly caring and friendly waiter who was interested in the customers. We ate and smiled. He gave me a fruit dessert for free, which was very, very sweet. He was charmingly attentive and chatted with another customer's children. Overall, a wonderful, warm place with delicious and affordable food. I highly recommend it!

I didn't enjoy my visit to La Musardine: the toilets were dirty, the menus were dirty, and my dish wasn't very good. The only positive point was the waiter's friendliness.

We stopped in at La Musardine with two tired and hot children midway through a long drive to Caen. We hadn't had the best experience of french hospitality on our trip so were feeling a little wary of eating out but we were immediately put at ease by the friendly welcome. While le menù enfants is always a little limited in France (read: chicken nuggets) the rest of the food was phenomenal. My husband had a duck starter that looked worthy of a Michelin star, and a steak that more than equalled others we'd had at much more expensive establishments. The creme brulee was heavenly, and the Rosè deliciously chilled. Thank you very much!
