La Paix: a Rennes institution! We left the city some time ago, after living there for many years. What a pleasure to rediscover this iconic place. The decor has been modernized; it's magnificent. The owner and all the staff give a warm welcome to every guest. A lovely and varied brasserie menu. Delicious food! We had a wonderful evening; thank you to the whole team!

We came for drinks on a Thursday evening with friends, and it was our first time here. We received a very warm welcome, and a special mention to the waitress who was absolutely lovely to us. We were very happy and will gladly return.

Good brasserie. Excellent value for money. The servers are in keeping with the good traditions of a brasserie. The service is a little rushed. A good atmosphere, which is rare in other establishments. Here, there are no cup with a bell to collect your drinks... 😀

We were there for a stag do, a group of nine, and a bit noisy! Despite that, the staff were professional and very pleasant! Thank you to the two people who looked after us! As for the food, it was a real treat, no matter what dish we ordered! A real pleasure, and thank you again to the two servers!

I was so happy with our visit to La Paix restaurant. The welcome, the service, the atmosphere—everything was top-notch, and the menu and prices were affordable. The young man who served us, named Brice, was both friendly and professional. Bravo and thank you to him! His warm welcome and potential have made me and my friends want to come back again and again. And a big thank you to the whole team—you're the best!

09/05/2026: A Sunday morning staple. We first came because of the location. We go back every Sunday morning because of the server. A must-visit spot in Rennes!
01/05/2026: I'm still looking for the fish in the completely burnt fish and chips that I paid full price for... My advice: avoid this place and choose another restaurant in town!

Bistrot La Tourelle

24/07/2025: We found simple, stylish French cuisine in a historic French city among the proliferation of burger and pizza bars. What a delight. Wine menu with a choice to excite the most descerning connoisseur. Highly recommend.
23/07/2025: Restaurant in the former St. Michel prison. Impeccable service with plenty of humor and smiles. The dishes were truly excellent. We didn't try dessert, but we were very tempted!
