La Part des Anges sur Castres

The experience didn't live up to my memory of this establishment. I had to skip the amuse-bouche because, being allergic to seafood, I wasn't offered anything else (it's a shame they didn't ask about allergies at the beginning of the meal; yes, it's common practice 😊). The starter was fine; the asparagus prepared in various ways was of good quality. The lamb dish was very well cooked (8-hour lamb), but the meat had a very strong flavor that prevented us from tasting the sweetness of the honey and the aroma of the thyme. As for the dessert: choux pastries with a craquelin topping and caramelized hazelnuts were very good, although a little too sweet for my taste. To finish, we were served petit fours on the bar counter when we paid. In short, a missed opportunity! That's my opinion, and I'm sharing it with you. I do not question either the quality of the products used or the apparent friendliness of the service.

A very pleasant surprise here in Castres! Also great for fish lovers. Excellent wine selection by the sommelier. The dish was very well prepared and beautifully presented. Lovely decor and pleasant service. Excellent value for money.

A sure bet in Castres. I recommend it 1000%. Excellent menus, never disappointed, top-notch staff, perfect service. It's best to book to be sure of getting a table. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. At lunchtime, the set menu (starter and main course or main course and dessert) is €19. A three-course meal (starter, main course, and dessert) is €21. There are other set menus available, but always with the same high quality of food. An amuse-bouche (generally excellent) is served while you wait for your starter, and after dessert, they bring you petit fours without you even asking... for example, a mini Black Forest cake and a lemon financier. I really appreciated these two thoughtful touches (the amuse-bouche and the petit fours). I highly recommend this restaurant in Castres.

What a delightful surprise during our stop in Castres! An exquisite, innovative meal, full of delicate flavors and perfectly cooked. The langoustines were deliciously tender, as was the cod. The flavor combinations were astonishing: I had never tasted a honey-glazed olive paired with strawberry in the dessert we chose. An excellent bottle of Gaillac for everyone... Very friendly service. A very reasonable price. We highly recommend it.

Every time I go to La Part des Anges, whether with family, friends, or my partner, we always receive a very warm welcome. We went there for lunch today. My 14-month-old baby came with us, which was a first for us. We're usually only adults there. The waitress was incredibly attentive! It's so nice to know of a place that welcomes little ones like that. And as usual, we had a delicious meal.

A very good restaurant in the center of Castres, recommended by the Michelin Guide. Impeccable welcome and service, the dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing. Excellent value for money! Thank you to the entire team for a very pleasant evening.

A wonderful discovery! The flavor combinations are sophisticated, the dishes are excellent, and the service is top-notch. It's a shame we live too far away to come more often 🙂
