It's always a pleasure to enjoy a delicious meal at La Patatière. The manager is very friendly. We arrived at the perfect time, just after opening, which was lucky because we hadn't made a reservation and it was full afterwards. The new waiter is very pleasant and manages very well despite the large number of customers. He always has a joke ready. The food is excellent and served with a smile. The prices are quite reasonable.

The young waitress who greeted me and took my order twice in June was always smiling when I arrived. This was very important to me, and she took all my requests into account. The set menu included an appetizer, a filled potato, a dessert, and a coffee for a reasonable price. The potato was very large, and there was a variety of toppings on top (ham, anchovies, cheese, etc.), all served with crudités. I've been several times and have never been disappointed; everything is fresh except for the dessert, which is pre-packaged, and the coffee is complimentary. I would say it's good value for money. I haven't tried the other items, like meat or the salad. Overall, the staff is friendly, but it would be nice if a waitress didn't take our order, walked past our table, looked at us, and didn't even say hello. 🤣 Is it priced per plate? 🤔 There's an open terrace, an enclosed terrace, and several seats inside. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible throughout, but I'm not sure if a wheelchair will fit in the restrooms, especially an electric one. Check before you go. I give it 5 out of 5.

An above-average selection of baked goods, cakes, and confectionery. There's something for everyone here. The prices aren't cheap for the small cakes and confectionery, but somehow they're justified.

17/03/2026: This place absolutely delivered the kind of meal that makes you want to cancel all future plans and just nap happily. We arrived armed with approximately three words of French and a lot of optimism, but the waitress was an absolute star—patient, friendly, and somehow able to understand our chaotic pointing and enthusiastic nodding. The food? Proper hearty, comforting stuff. The kind that feels like a hug from someone who insists you haven’t eaten enough. And speaking of “enough”… they do NOT mess around with the cheese. If you like your meals lightly sprinkled, look away now—this is full commitment, no regrets, cheese-forward dining. Somewhere, a cow is very proud of this restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderfully convivial—buzzing, warm, and the sort of place where everyone seems to be having a great time, even if (like us) they’re not entirely sure what they just ordered. It felt relaxed and welcoming rather than stuffy, which made the whole experience even better. All in all: great service, generous portions, and a cheese policy I can fully get behind. Would absolutely come back—next time with slightly better French… or just the same strategy and a big smile.
07/03/2026: Nice discovery. Very welcoming place. The food was excellent.(Garlic shrimps and welsh) We were also lucky to get some seat because at around 8pm, it was full. Better to book. If we come back to Malo, we surely stop there again

05/04/2026: An excellent first and definitely not last experience at this Saint-Malo restaurant. A delight from start to finish, all at a very reasonable price. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, and the customer participation in the tasting menu is a real plus. A minor negative point, however, concerns the service. While it's certainly traditional to offer the man a taste of the wine when a bottle is shared between a couple, wouldn't it be more sensible, in 2026, to offer the tasting to one or both partners? Women can also appreciate good wine.
01/04/2026: A very friendly restaurant with efficient service and excellent quality food; I highly recommend it.
