La Petite Alsace sur Strasbourg

Some hotels are simply a place to sleep. Régent Petite France feels like you’re actually staying inside the postcard of Strasbourg. The location is unbelievable. You walk out the door and you are immediately in the middle of everything that makes Petite France so special — canals, bridges, flowers hanging from windows, people sitting outside with wine, little streets that somehow look even better at night than they do during the day. Honestly, half the time we just stood outside the hotel looking around thinking, “this can’t be real.” Our room was incredible with a view that made it hard to leave in the morning. Watching the boats pass through the canals while the city slowly woke up was one of those travel moments you remember long after the trip is over. The staff could not have been more helpful. Every interaction felt genuine and relaxed, never forced or overly formal. They helped with recommendations, directions, questions — anything we needed. You could tell they truly cared that guests enjoyed Strasbourg. The entire hotel somehow feels luxurious without being stuffy. Comfortable, elegant, quiet, and perfectly placed in the center of it all. Only very minor thing — the shower setup could be a little more accessible depending on mobility or preference — but honestly, it barely registered compared to how much we loved staying here. If you’re visiting Strasbourg and want to fully experience Petite France instead of just walking through it for an hour, stay here. We already miss waking up there.

A magnificent hotel where I stay every time I'm in Strasbourg. Very well located. The concierge and valet parking staff are exceptional. The reception is very average and incapable of maintaining a customer database. In short, a major drawback. The hotel lobby is freezing cold (20 degrees Celsius) and the bathrooms, even with the thermostat turned all the way up, are like refrigerators. Plus, there are no slippers to warm you up, only flip-flops that hurt your feet. So don't come in winter, or bring your own slippers and a kettle. The spa is very professional, and the massages are excellent. The restaurant is always closed, every single time I've been there.

Location of the hotel is excellent for exploring Strausbourg. Short walk from the train station. Scenic. The lobby and restaurant are modern and feel high end. Service was good. Check in was easy. Our room was on the third floor. Sort of awkward to get to with the bags as ours was located on part of the floor where you need to descend a short staircase. The rooms are modern and quite large. Well appointed with closets, a room safe, TV, fridge/minibar, coffee/expresso maker, etc. Bathroom was a little bit dated and the shower is awkward to use but it gets the job done (its more of a tub with a wand than a shower). We didn't eat at the restaurant. Check out was simple. I was not able to use the spa, but I could see the jacuzzi type tub from our room window and it looked quite nice. Another thing to consider that we did not realize....we were on the third floor and it got pretty warm during the daytime the two days of our stay...this heated the room up quite a bit. I couldn't get the temperature controlled so I called the front desk. They told me that there is no air conditioning and to open a window. With the windows opened we were just fine. But I do wonder what it would be like during a hot summer month. We've been to Seattle a few times, and people there live without air conditioning, but with global warming and some of the heat waves, it can get quite uncomfortable especially for sleeping when temps reach 80 to 90+ F.

A wonderful 3-night stay in a magnificent hotel in the heart of Strasbourg with very pleasant and welcoming staff! The all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet was delicious, featuring excellent products! The spa was calm and soothing, and the valet parking service was top-notch. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.

Built on the site of an old mill. The hotel is very well maintained, the rooms are beautiful, the beds comfortable, and the location is excellent—once you've parked your car, you'll never have to touch it again. The spa and pool overlooking the old town are very beautiful.

Lovely hotel located on the most interesting and unique neighborhood of the city. Beautiful and modern rooms, very nicely refitted and with great views over the river. Excellent service and access for the cars 🚗.

A lovely little surprise in my room for my second stay: a note that I really appreciated. I will definitely return to this hotel. In the evening, the staff is incredibly attentive in the room. Thank you to the housekeeping, reception, and breakfast staff. The spa always offers a warm welcome and a relaxing hour awaits.
