We had a wonderful lunch at La Poivrière. We received a very warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The ingredients are fresh and local, the food is homemade, and it was truly delicious. What's more, the prices are very reasonable, even in peak season. The owner is incredibly kind and made our experience very pleasant. Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed (we certainly won't be, and we'll be back to eat here as soon as possible!).

A place I stumbled upon, and what a wonderful time! Sabine's welcome was absolutely charming, and the food was impeccable. The meat was cooked to perfection, and her recommendations were excellent. I highly recommend it.

We've eaten here before, but I'd forgotten how good it is. I had the tuna carpaccio and it was fantastic. My boyfriend loved the chicken and chips. Everything is traditional French cuisine, and the desserts were great too—homemade! I had the bone marrow. Sabine is very kind, and we'll be back every year! Simple and also reasonably priced! And if you're English and looking for great roast chicken and chips or other very well-cooked, good-value food, this is a great restaurant close to the beach and close to town.
