La Poivriére sur Calvi

When you arrive in a city you're discovering for the first time for a holiday in Calvi, there's one exceptional place you absolutely must visit: La Poivrière! A particularly warm welcome and exceptionally friendly staff: you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door. You're completely comfortable. A big thank you to Manu, Sabine, and our ever-smiling waiter. The restaurant also boasts an ideal, convenient, and pleasant location. As for the food, the chef delighted us with simply outstanding cuisine, generous and bursting with flavor. Don't hesitate to try the fisherman's platter with lobster and the capon (or scorpionfish) with its divine fresh vegetable tagliatelle, and the mussels from Diana's pond. Even the perfectly tender roasted chicken in its own juices is delicious, all at a reasonable price. The tiramisu is divine, and to finish in style, try a myrtle liqueur or a limoncello. A truly wonderful place that you'll want to return to without hesitation. Thank you to the whole team! Don't hesitate, go for it!!!

Lovely little bar/cafe. Food good and not badly priced, nice coffee. But I just wanted to thank the staff as my wife, tripped on a kerb and badly cut her toe, they pharmacy was closed, but they helped us with a rudimentary dressing until morning and the pharmacy was open. Very kind.

Excellent restaurant, especially the Corsican burgers which were tasty and generous. The service was quite fast despite the crowd, and the waiters were efficient and friendly.

The owner is overwhelmed in the kitchen and could use some help to avoid the hour-long wait for impatient customers, but apart from that, the very good food is making the chef question his methods.
