A Provençal meal in a beautiful, quiet, tree-lined square: the perfect opportunity to discover the gardiane de taureau (bull stew) and enjoy the duck breast. A simple and authentic place!

Already quite hungry and tired, we were looking for a place in Avignon where we could have a light dinner with our family after a busy hot day. Coincidentally, there was a big theater festival going on at the same time and the city was literally packed with people. In La Provende on Place Georges Pompidou, we found a peaceful, quiet and very picturesque haven where we felt like we were almost alone in the city. The food arrived quickly by French standards and was exactly what we expected. French culinary tradition in perfect execution. We tasted salmon, veal cutlet and Italian salad and everything was, without exaggeration, delicious, fresh and perfectly seasoned. The waiter André, who served us, is a great and friendly professional who obviously loves people and his job. I would like to thank you very much, André. We will remember you and your esprit from our visit to France <3 Merci!

This is the place for an authentic, relaxing meal. Lovely, charming surroundings and a nice shady spot to get out of the hot sun. The duck was beautifully cooked and the goats cheese salad with honey was a delicious combination. And as a bonus the host is from Marseille and happy to chat about Eric Cantona! Highly recommended.

One of the few restaurants serving traditional dishes (bull stew, honey duck), delicious, reasonably priced, and with the option of a reasonably priced menu. Attention to detail. Very friendly staff, quick service despite the crowds; it feels like a family-run business. Homemade desserts. Tables in a beautiful, breezy, yet quiet square; everything is very relaxing.
