A wonderful discovery in Lourmarin! We received a very warm welcome from an attentive team. A big thank you to the person who took our order and who was able to accommodate my wife's dietary restrictions by modifying her dish without any difficulty. This was a real plus and much appreciated. As for the food, everything was excellent: a flavorful steak tartare with delicious sides, a perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful duck breast, and a decadent chocolate-coconut cake to finish on a sweet note. All served on a pleasant terrace equipped with misting fans, which were very welcome in the hot weather. An excellent restaurant in Lourmarin that we highly recommend!

A very nice restaurant in the heart of Albert Camus's village of Lourmarin. A warm and friendly welcome. A small, well-shaded terrace. The meal met our expectations, with a varied menu and à la carte options, offering good quality ingredients for everyone. A must-try before visiting the village and the castle. We returned this weekend, August 21st, 2022. Still just as good, excellent dishes. The only drawback was the size of the ice bucket (the bottle rests directly on the ice cubes, so it warms up quickly, forcing us to put ice cubes directly in the glass, which detracts from the flavor of the rosé). I'll post the menus from that date.

We had a wonderful time at La Récréation, where the portions were generous and the ingredients fresh. The wine was also very pleasant. The service was quick and attentive. However, for dessert, we recommend ordering two scoops of ice cream separately, as one scoop is €3.50 and two are €7.50!!! 😂 Apparently, this is to avoid waste! According to the menu designer, €3.50 is for a child's scoop, and two or more scoops are for adults (if you'll pardon the expression). The restaurant is very nice and very well located. A very good experience. We will gladly return.

Absolutely fantastic! The welcome was incredibly warm, the service impeccable, and the menu presentation original. The cuisine and ingredients were of exceptional quality! Nothing negative to say, just pure pleasure and deliciousness... truly excellent. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

The space is gorgeous, all the tables are outdoors, the menu looks like a school notebook written on lined paper with drawings. The food was all delicious and the staff were very friendly.

11/06/2026: La Fontaine Gaillon was lovely. Friendly hostess and staff, (shout out to M, our server who was very attentive but never bothersome), very cozy atmosphere and the food was outstanding. We had the turbot and chicken, both were delicious. I highly recommend trying this place if you’re visiting and not sure where to go, you won’t be disappointed. Oh and the cocktails and champagne were spot on as well. Au revoir! 🇫🇷
27/05/2026: It was a very hot day to have lunch in the restaurant. We ordered oysters for appetizers. The oysters were fresh and creamy even they were small. The main course, spring chicken, was delicious, it was soft, juicy and tender. Mille-feuille was also delicious.

28/06/2026: A wonderful discovery in Lourmarin! We had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. The dishes were delicious, made with high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. A huge thank you to the service, which was impeccable. Special mention goes to Elliott, who is new to the restaurant business but is already fantastic: smiling, attentive, professional, and very pleasant. He greatly contributed to making our meal even more enjoyable. We also greatly appreciated the visit from the Italian chef at the end of our meal, who came to make sure everything was to our liking. This thoughtful touch truly makes a difference and demonstrates the care taken to ensure customer satisfaction. An excellent restaurant that we wholeheartedly recommend. We will definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
