La Renaudiere sur Chenonceaux

We booked the hotel based on the official pictures, which do not show the renovation backlog of the last few decades. The hotel needs some investment. But it has a lot of charm and is ok as a stopover (for us towards Spain) and in conjunction with a visit to the Château de Chenonceau, which is just a five-minute walk away. The bathroom is very narrow and the shower (in the bathtub) has no shower curtain, which is why half the bathroom is flooded when showering. The beds were very comfortable. The older lady at the reception was very nice and friendly. Value for money could be better. We skipped breakfast and instead had a lovely breakfast in a bakery in nearby Bléré.

Very well located hotel, in a local and period setting, spacious rooms with WC and bathroom. Very clean. Hearty breakfast.

Hotel which certainly had its heyday but for all that, a nice welcome. Very large room and generous breakfast. There is a very practical bicycle storage room. Ideal location for visiting the castle. We recommend.
