Sunday, February 22nd, the first truly sunny day after endless weeks of rain. So, blue skies and eight bikers were warmly welcomed at this friendly, bright pizzeria. A variety of generous pizzas and light Italian beers delighted and satisfied us. The dining room is spacious and can accommodate large groups, and the staff is attentive and efficient. Beautiful weather, a good meal, and a great ride—a real treat!
P.S. Please pay for your meal in cash only (ATM nearby) 😉
“La Roma is Italy… but with sand between your toes!”
Between waves and a sunburn, I thought to myself: “What if I went to Rome without leaving Lacanau?” The result: a pizza bigger than my surfboard, a waiter with more cheer than a strong espresso, and an atmosphere worthy of a dolce vita in flip-flops.
The crust is thin (like my New Year's resolutions for vacation), the toppings generous (like the portion of fries I didn't order but they gave me anyway 😅), and everything so delicious I almost applauded the pizza maker. Mamma mia, it's good!
In short, if you want a delicious meal without selling your scooter for a plane ticket, go to La Roma. You'll leave with a full stomach, a big smile, and maybe even a slight Neapolitan accent. 🇮🇹🍕🌊
