La siesta sur Saintes-Maries-De-La-Mer

We went to La Siesta to end the week with a couple of friends and had a great evening with a band called What Else who created an amazing atmosphere!!! The waiters were smiling and looked fantastic with their suspenders, in short, a great place to have a good time.

A good restaurant for a good time

INCREDIBLE!! I can't think of anything more to say. The atmosphere was perfect, a really friendly group. The meal was perfect with a huge selection and high-quality cuisine. And the service was a huge plus: pleasant, smiling, kind, attentive… and I could go on! I truly recommend this restaurant 200%. Thank you to SIESTA BY NC

Pleasant location and service. More than adequate food.

Very friendly, the welcome is warm, the food is good, although the noise level can be a bit high at times! The service is impeccable and the waiters are charming. A place I highly recommend.

I arrived at 7:40 PM. I had scouted the place two days earlier around 10:30 PM. It had a small, dimly lit atmosphere with a live band. So, I arrived at 7:40 PM that day and met the waiter. I asked him if there was a band playing from 8 PM to midnight, as indicated on the flyer. He said yes, they started playing at 8 PM. We ordered an aperitif, but then the band didn't start at 8 PM, so we also ordered tapas to prolong our meal a bit, since we saw that the band was starting at 8:30 PM. The accras (fritters), pre-prepared and oven-baked, were served with salsa. This wasn't very appropriate; other Caribbean or hot sauces would have been much better. And then, my daughter and I checked our watches. At 8:54 PM, to our great surprise, the band announced they were stopping their set until 10 PM because they were taking a break. Very disappointed, we finished our meal. I had ordered ribs, which were also served with salsa. The salsa was in a small stainless steel gravy boat, and to my surprise, it came with a brush, which I thought was a nice touch. More salsa! Anyway, spreading salsa on a rib isn't great. Caramelized sauces, a little meat jus, or perhaps barbecue sauce would have been more appropriate. The food was very classic, not bad, but frankly, very classic. At 9:55 PM, we finally paid the bill: €105 for three people. It's acceptable, but the food was very classic, even mass-produced. We were very disappointed because many restaurants offered live music with really nice bands that had been playing since 8 PM. We would have been better off going somewhere else because the atmosphere wasn't there. Even though the bar itself is nice, the expected evening wasn't delivered. So, in a way, I think the advertising is a bit misleading when it says it's open from 8 pm to midnight. We went there solely for that reason. I think the restaurants next door actually do the job.

We had a wonderful evening, the staff were fantastic and the food was great. We'll be back next year. Thank you to all the staff! Great atmosphere at the Fiesta!

I always return to Siesta with pleasure, never disappointed by the food and service

We managed to get a table on August 15th when all the other restaurants were full. The dishes we chose were excellent: generous portions and beautifully presented (salmon steak, tuna tartare, and hamburgers for my teenagers). Friendly and quick service. A bonus live music during the aperitif/start of the meal. Thank you! All the best! 😊
