La Simplicité sur Nevers

Visiting the region from Belgium for work, we had the pleasure of discovering La Simplicité in Nevers, and it was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the warmth and kindness of the staff. The service was professional, attentive, and friendly, creating a welcoming and authentic atmosphere. The cuisine is simply remarkable. The dishes are prepared with great finesse, showcasing fresh, local produce. Each plate offers a beautiful balance of flavors, elegant presentation, and a creativity that reflects true culinary expertise. We particularly appreciated the perfect cooking and the generous portions. The restaurant's ambiance further enhances the experience: elegant, soothing, and perfectly suited for a relaxed meal or a business lunch. In short, La Simplicité lives up to its name: sincere cuisine, impeccable service, and a warm atmosphere. We highly recommend this place to anyone passing through Nevers — whether for business or pleasure. We will definitely return!

Excellent food and a great atmosphere, all in a relaxed setting!

Absolutely delicious meat, the owner was super friendly, and importantly, the temperature in the restaurant was very pleasant. A very good evening, we will gladly return.

The restaurant's food quality has declined, which is a shame. It's still good, but it doesn't have the same appeal as before, when each dish was carefully prepared and made you want to come back.

A small, welcoming restaurant with expertly prepared cuisine, a well-stocked wine and spirits list, and the owner's cheerful disposition. I highly recommend going, but also booking in advance, as availability can sometimes compromise quality.

Passing through Nevers on our way to pick up our puppy, we stopped at this lovely little restaurant. If I could give more stars, I would! Thank you so much for the great atmosphere, the amazing food (and for changing our table). The beef yaya was to die for! The baba au rhum was incredible! And this restaurant truly lives up to its name—it's so wonderfully unpretentious. It's so refreshing, no fuss, no frills. Thoughtful touches. Tourists thank you ;) And next time we'll bring the bear!

Excellent restaurant with a warm welcome and a beautiful location

A small menu, but just as full of humor as it is of quality products. I tried the Yaya Beef and I'll definitely be back next time 😉. Kudos to the team who also gave me tips for visiting the city, which I didn't know.

Beautiful wine cellar On the manager's recommendation Tasted a delicious 100% Carignan Clos Aguilem With the duck breast, great cooking skills. The punch was well-measured as an aperitif. A must for dessert. The famous rum baba flambé. A little nod from the owner, with a free Roulot apricot at the end of the meal. Great establishment
