La Solette sur La Rochelle

The dish was very good, but is the price really justified? I can't say. We were left a little hungry, and unfortunately, having to pay an extra €7 for a portion of fries... That's tough for people from the North!

Nice spot on the square to have a drink

Great restaurant overlooking a lively little square. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal; the service was pleasant and the prices reasonable.

Original cuisine, lovely service

This was the best restaurant we’ve eaten at in a very long time. Everything was exceptionally well cooked, beautifully balanced, and served in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu felt both classic and just adventurous enough to make it exciting. The barbecue ribs were the best we’ve ever had, and our two young children loved them too. The homemade BBQ sauce was absolutely incredible. BBQ sauces are often far too sweet, but here it was perfectly balanced, perhaps by some touch of the pickled zucchini (we think - please correct us if we’re wrong!). We also loved the fish of the day, the gourmet salad, and the homemade fries. It was the perfect place for our family with children aged 4 and 6. The restaurant is tucked away on a lovely little square, and we were told this is where the locals go. Now we completely understand why. The cocktails deserve a special mention as well. absolutely delicious. To top it all off, the owner took the time to recommend several other restaurants for us to continue our culinary journey here 🙂 So, nothing less than five stars from us. We’ve been searching for great places to eat throughout Paris, the Loire Valley, and the Dordogne, and this was by far the best. What a fantastic find!

We had ribs, fish of the day, a garden salad and fries. Everything was very well balanced and well cooked. Uncomplicated food with fun flavor combinations. The ribs were incredible! Perfect for taking dishes in and sharing. Very good food for a good price. Don't miss the drinks! Good service! Highly recommend a visit. Something of a gem.
