La Strada sur Carignan

I ordered spaghetti with pesto sauce and minced meat, but I received a dish without pesto, just a basic cream sauce, whereas it should have had basil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese as advertised on the menu. I noticed a small frozen herb ball on the pasta, tasted it, and to my surprise, it was parsley. I pointed this out to the waitress, who insisted it was pesto sauce. I was just passing through Carignan, and being from Provence, I make my own pesto sauce, so I know what I'm talking about. In short, I didn't appreciate the waitress treating me like I was completely clueless.

A great place to eat in Carignan. There are five restaurants in Carignan, we tried four, and we were lucky because only one of them was disappointing and underpriced. But that's not the case with La Strada. A very good place to eat in Carignan. No complaints whatsoever about the service or the food. Quality cuisine at very affordable prices in a nice, calm, and welcoming atmosphere. I recommend it! The menu prices are relatively reasonable.

Excellent restaurant with a wide selection of dishes. The "salade folle" (crazy salad) is superb; I highly recommend it. The service is top-notch and attentive to its customers.

Just passing through This restaurant was recommended to me by the hotel where I'm staying. Despite arriving quite late (8:45 pm), I received a warm welcome. The food was decent (burger). There was hardly anyone there, so it's understandable that the atmosphere was a bit subdued. When it came time to pay, the owner refused to take the tip, claiming it was an extra expense... That's shameful for her employees... It's a tough job, difficult hours, low wages... So depriving them of tips is outrageous... Restaurant owners complain about not finding staff. Understandable. Respect your employees...

We arrived late, but the staff still gave us a very warm welcome and we had a wonderful meal. The pizzas were delicious, and the portions were very generous. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is friendly. A big thank you to the waitresses and kitchen staff!

The pizzas are good. It's a shame the person at the bar looks at you as if to make you feel like you have to leave.
