La Table de mon Père sur Perros-Guirec

We left disappointed after our dinner at “La Table de mon Père.” The setting is truly exceptional: the view is simply magnificent, the dining room warm and inviting, and the service very professional. We had chosen two menus with wine pairings. On that front, there was nothing to complain about: the wines were original, beautifully presented, and perfectly suited to our tastes. The starter was also remarkable, with barbecued asparagus accompanied by a perfect hollandaise sauce! However, the rest of the meal was much less convincing. The fish, despite being cooked flawlessly, was served plain and lacked flavor. Paired with a watercress sauce and rather bland vegetables, the dish remained very bland, without any real depth. The dessert, a visually impeccable strawberry pavlova, also left us with a bad taste. The idea of ​​strawberry-chili ice cream was interesting, but the chili was so overpowering that it made the whole thing difficult to appreciate. Moreover, a customer at a neighboring table seemed to share this unpleasant surprise at this very bold choice. Ultimately, between a bland main course and an overly intense dessert, the balance was off. At €65 for the menu, this is all the more regrettable.

Excellent cuisine in a dreamlike setting

The hotel is in a beautiful location, but the room was disappointing. It was indeed small and very basic, with a tiny shower, and for this level of comfort, there was only coffee in the room (no tea or herbal tea). The view from the small window was magnificent, however, which was pleasant. The mojito was very good, with a special mention for the delicious cashews served with the aperitif. The meal at the restaurant was very good, but the service was average; it was very slow, and we had to ask for dessert because our wine pairing had been served for about 15 minutes without the dessert plate arriving. The same thing happened with the water for our tea; we had the tea bag but no hot water. No one asked us how our dinner was. Breakfast was excellent, very generous, and served as a high-quality buffet. The two staff members at reception were very, very friendly!

Rather disappointed. The service didn't live up to the view! Despite the fact that our table wasn't ideally positioned (just two meters from the kitchen doors, which were constantly opening and closing with people coming and going). Regarding the service: it was rather slow, the advice was limited to light wines, and the waiter forgot to let us taste the wine before pouring our glasses. Our main course was served while my husband was in the restroom. The waitress didn't return to present the dishes when he arrived. This same waitress, who had been presenting the service with extreme speed (she hadn't even finished her sentence before turning on her heel), was also very pleasant. There were some good points, though: the last waitress to arrive was very pleasant, kind, and professional. As for the food: the side dish was rather bland, and the bread was too hard. The fish was perfectly cooked and delicious. The cheeses: no complaints, beautifully presented by the waiter, and they were excellent. The dessert: the pavlova, delicious when eaten all at once (not just the sorbet, which is tangy). The waiter should have mentioned this when it was served (it was only mentioned later, halfway through, by another waiter). In short, an exceptional setting, good food but nothing special, and service that really needs improvement!

Excellent food and attentive staff

The view and the location are simply incredible. The set menu was good but not exceptional.

An incredible meal in a very pleasant room with an equally incredible view (dinner with sunset). Everything was perfect, from the amuse-bouche to the petit fours; the dishes were magnificent with exceptional flavors. A special mention for the hazelnut dessert—it was as if it had been created just for us! We must, of course, commend the pleasant, smiling, and exceptionally efficient service! It's a pleasure to be served with such professionalism and always with a thoughtful touch and a kind word. What more can we say except that everything was perfect and we highly recommend it!

Exceptional food, experience, and atmosphere. Had the pleasure of having dinner at La Table de Mon Père three times during our stay and were able try much of the menu. Each dish was prepared beautifully and the taste was exceptional. We dined at many fine dining restaurants during our time in France (including two Michelin star restaurants) but this was easily our favorite. It is clear there is great thought, pride, and care taken in planning and preparation of meals here. Thanks again!
