Expensive but excellent food, service, ambience and location

An excellent experience at La Table du Roi. The dishes are delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. The service is warm, professional, and always attentive to the smallest details. The atmosphere is elegant and convivial, perfect for spending a pleasant time with family or friends. A special mention goes to Wendy, whose welcome is impeccable.

Living in Carcassonne, friends recommended this restaurant to us. The decor is simply stunning (our table had a direct view of the medieval city from a window), the food is excellent (the foie gras, beef fillet, and dessert were superb—thank you to the chef!), and the service is just as high-quality as the cuisine. Thank you to Wendy and Nicolas for their smiles and good humor throughout the meal! We thoroughly enjoyed it! 😋

Valentine's Day dinner, set menu. Upon arrival, the receptionist asked my husband to pay. No problem, but announcing the price so loudly was incredibly rude, especially for this type of establishment. Once seated, the dishes were delicious, but the wait for the aperitif and wines was interminable! So much so that by the time the wines arrived, we were finishing our main courses… the servers were running around the dining room because they were disorganized. Cloth napkins would have been appreciated, given the establishment's level of service… In short, the setting is magnificent, the food delicious, but the service and the reception clearly ruined it…
