La Table D'Hippolyte - FERMÉ sur Lyon

We came for lunch today, and I rediscover this restaurant with wonder every time. A profusion of flavors, indulgence, discovery, and creativity, all at an affordable price for a restaurant of this caliber. Even my cocktail was incredible—thank you again!

This restaurant was recommended to us, so we made a reservation. We found the combination of flavors interesting, sometimes unusual. Personally, I didn't particularly like the reimagined panna cotta. There were too many ingredients to fully appreciate the dessert. But that's just my opinion.

Dropped by here at 9pm for a quick top-up as had a big lunch, what a surprise. East West food is so hard to execute, usually easier to find it done well in Asia than Europe, Wei turns this on it’s head. Enjoyed the Gravlax but the standout for us was the Chawanmushi. Steamed egg with edamame, prawn balls and ponzu style sauce, a great play on Chinese, Japanese and western flavours and cultures. Brilliant. Service was professional and attentive, really enjoyed our supper here.

Without a doubt, the best restaurant I've tried in 2026. Both the starters and main courses were a delightful surprise. But the desserts were simply unbeatable. My congratulations to the chef, who has managed to capture the essence of Chinese cuisine in her creations, enhanced with touches of Lyonnais haute cuisine. It has undoubtedly become a must-visit for me every time I return to Lyon. Thank you, Sun.

A wonderful discovery! This restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey through Asia, all while staying in Lyon. We thoroughly enjoyed the bao buns filled with delicious pork, the flavorful bibimbap, and a truly excellent Japanese curry. Special mention goes to the Japanese mango dessert, which was absolutely divine. We would have loved to lick the plate clean! 😜 The welcome was also very warm, and we had a truly lovely time. The only possible area for improvement is the wine selection. We will definitely be back: we are eager to try other dishes, as the menu changes seasonally. Since seating is limited, it's best to make a reservation.
