Besides being very kind, the food was excellent! The tartare was very tasty and the entrecote was very tender. Recommended!

Staying in Bourges for an overnight stop on our way south for a 2 week holiday. We had a long day travelling and looking for a nice French meal. Discovered this restaurant via a recommendation from another establishment which was booked up. Food and service here at Oliver’s was brilliant, we had the Terrine with fresh bread and Entrecôte for mains, accompanied with epic frites which they seem to be very proud of and so they should. Fantastique.

We were warmly welcomed, even with the dog. The service was quick. The daily menu offered excellent value for money. Special mention goes to the build-your-own salad option (which we didn't try, however). A great find!

13/08/2026: A sweltering day, but we had a lovely meal on the terrace thanks to the parasols and the greenery. The Caraqui restaurant is right in the heart of the marshes. The dishes are simple but tasty, and nicely presented. There's a wide selection of ice cream and sundaes. The other desserts are a bit pricey for their creativity. But that's just my opinion, I admit 🤗
08/08/2026: It's been a Bourges institution for many years. First of all, the location. This restaurant, situated in the famous Bourges marshes, is very relaxing. You can also take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy a lovely stroll through the marshes before or after your meal; it's truly restful, peaceful, and refreshing. The welcome is warm and friendly, which is important... The service is very professional, friendly, and attentive. As for the food, the menu is extensive, and the dishes, well-prepared, are truly excellent. The prices are reasonable. A relaxing experience is guaranteed. Remember to book ahead, as the restaurant is often full.
