A small restaurant that my partner and I discovered about ten years ago. (Home-style cooking) Something for everyone, young and old: pizzas, meats, pasta, salads, and mountain dishes. The staff is very attentive, pleasant, and always smiling. The chef is very friendly, for those lucky enough to see him, as he rarely goes out. Now we go there regularly with our son, and it's always a pleasure to eat in this peaceful restaurant. It feels like home (personal opinion). If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate to stop by for a bite to eat.

A quiet and rustic place to enjoy local cuisine, such as tartiflette with Sassenage blue cheese and homemade blueberry tartlet. A warm welcome. A pleasure to try.

Very warm welcome and affordable prices, especially for the wine 🍷, the Provence rosé costs 17 euros, which isn't the same price as some establishments in Villard-de-Lans. And the cherry on the cake: two invitations to a gala at the Villard-de-Lans ice rink. Thanks to the owners, they know what a business owner means! We'll be back!

✨ A true little treasure that's been preserved in its original form! The place has retained all of its old-world charm, which is precisely what makes it so authentic. The dishes are delicious, generous, and, above all, homemade with quality ingredients. You can feel the love of cooking in every plate. A delight from start to finish! 🍷🍴 Fast service; there were 7 of us on a Sunday evening.

Villards de Lans. This pizzeria has everything going for it, but it doesn't. I ordered a takeout pizza, what a disappointment! Few pizzerias still make pizzas with Emmental cheese instead of mozzarella, hence my choice to go to La Taverne! Unfortunately, their pizzas are bland, lacking salt in the dough, bitter tomato sauce (add a little olive oil) and no herbes de Provence, disastrously cooked dough (white pizza dough after baking, rather than toasted) and cheese because that's what we come for, the gratin!! Lack of oregano on the cheese (or a mixture of thyme, oregano, marjoram, or basil)!!! In short, I hope my review will be useful to the pizza chef, so that he can improve and they get good reviews!!

A very good lunch with simple but delicious dishes! The welcome and service were very warm! Special mention for the blueberry tartlet, a delight!
