We had a very good 3-day stay in Epernay. We had booked this restaurant for the first day and we came back because of the welcome, attentive staff, friendly and what can we say about the very generous meals, very good value for money, we will come back The Boulonnais

De passage sur Epernay nous nous sommes arrêtés à la Taverne. Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Cuisine au top produits frais, fait "maison " les sauces waouhh bravo au Chef , le service au top à l écoute et une ambiance familiale comme on les aimes . Et Gg le patron super !! Un endroit à ne pas manquer !! Un grand bravo à toute l équipe de La Taverne !! A bientôt

J'ai téléphoné 8 jours avant en demandant si le menu proposé à 15,90 euros était valable également le Samedi. Question à laquelle on m'a répondu oui. J'ai donc réservé pour 5 personnes. Arrivée, surprise un menu sympa mais à 22 euros par personne ! Une bouteille de Cristaline sur chaque table, que nous entamons. A la question, y a t'il une boisson comprise dans le menu (comme indiqué sur le menu, et confirmé par notre table voisine (des habitués)), la serveuse nous répond que non! Et pour terminer, mon mari paie 120 euros, 5×22=110.. reste 10 euros pour une bière pression et 1 café ???? Nous avons bien mangé, bonne ambiance avec les habitués mais pour votre manque d'honnêteté, même de passage, nous ne reviendrons pas...

Traditional & casual restaurant popular with locals. Limited menu on the chalkboard. Home made cooking with friendly wait staff. Some English, my French is petite but it all works out. Cash. Flat price for lunch- appetizer, main plate, dessert & wine. The duck terrine was delicious. Excellent choice in the city for lunch. I recommend coming early to get a table before lunch rush without a reservation.
