La Taverne sur Les Allues

The staff here are incredible!! They take care of you and really care about you. How do I know this? The staff warned our male friend that a couple was trying to take advantage of another friend. They don't have to do that but they did! And we all really appreciate that. The drinks are good and the atmosphere awesome. Rabi and Ollie are especially awesome!! Thank you! Highly highly recommend!

As two vegans it can be hard to find food while on a ski holiday, but La Taverne delivered! We had a vegan feta salad and lentil ragu with vegan Parmesan - they also had a veggie burger which we could have had. Great service and delicious food with multiple vegan options made it a great experience. Would recommend staying on later to watch the live band too!

Superb experience. We ate very well, the welcome was warm, and the staff very pleasant. The raclette and fondue were excellent!! We had a bad experience at another restaurant, so it was great to find a place like this. The portions were generous, and we ate very well. The bar area upstairs, after the restaurant, is also very nice. Thank you very much.

Regarding the restaurant: This is a good place to improve your English, as the servers don't always speak French fluently. Nevertheless, the welcome is pleasant. You can even stop by just for a drink at lunchtime, which is far from the norm in the surrounding bars and restaurants. The food is decent, even if the prices are typical for Meribel.

A restaurant with a classic English pub atmosphere 🍻 The ambiance is typically British, warm, and friendly. The owner and the waiter are truly excellent: welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The dishes are delicious, well-prepared, and very generous—a real treat! One small drawback, however: the owner would benefit from limiting unnecessary movement to streamline service and reduce the wait time. Despite this, it's a wonderful place that I highly recommend!
