Second visit to this place and still thrilled by the quality of the food. The Croque Monsieur or the Crottin de Chavignol burger are served with salad and excellent fries. A real treat.

A fantastic discovery! La Taverne Connétable is a must-visit in Sancerre. The welcome is warm, the staff is friendly and attentive. The dishes are delicious, prepared with high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and bursting with flavor. The setting is magnificent, with a convivial and authentic atmosphere that makes you want to linger over your meal. Special mention goes to the truly excellent value for money and the menu, which showcases local specialties paired with superb Sancerre wines. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. We will gladly return on our next visit!

Quite a lovely experience, the service and kitchen were super busy, but incredibly sweet and service-minded! They fought a good fight to make everyone happy and succeeded despite everything being packed both outside and inside. You have to book a table here to be sure of getting a seat.

We were seated quickly during the week even though we hadn't made a reservation. The waitresses were pleasant but sometimes seemed confused with our orders. We ordered a half-bottle and received a full one, not at the advertised price. The appetizers were excellent, the meat was top-notch, but the side dishes were only adequate. The crème brûlée was nothing special. Nevertheless, it was a good atmosphere and a nice restaurant. I recommend it because it's good value for money and perfect for the start of the season.
