We had an excellent experience. Good food. Great wines. Good service. But our reservation we made by phone was not available when we arrived, the English speaking is very poor. They anyway managed to get us a table at a fully booked Saturday evening.

A wonderful time at Le Connétable with the family. The Sancerre cheese platters with Chavignol cheese are still top-notch, even though I haven't been back in 15 years! Don't hesitate for a second!

A very warm welcome, smiling and professional staff. The food was excellent, the poached egg in red wine sauce was superb, a slight disappointment with the calf's head, which was just tongue. Nevertheless, it was good. One of the desserts, a brioche French toast style, was delicious.

Taste Sancerre

09/08/2026: We had been wanting to come for a long time and we weren't disappointed; we had a wonderful evening with friends at Taste. We thoroughly enjoyed both the food (charcuterie board, Crottin de Chavignol cheese, and duck rillettes with magret) and the drinks (Champagne and Silex white wine). The service was quick, discreet, and attentive, and of course, a special mention goes to the incredible view of the vineyard. Being locals, we will definitely be back!
