Passing through Lille, I took the time to find a place to eat and watch a football match. The place was ideal: spacious, with a warm welcome. A table in the TV-free area allowed for a quiet meal before heading to the area with the big screens. A very wide selection of beers on the menu. The same goes for the food. The Welsh rarebit was huge and delicious. The restrooms were very clean!

It's a very friendly place with a lovely setting. The food is very good and the staff is very friendly.

A very good family meal. I asked for medium-rare meat, and it was cooked perfectly. The pepper sauce was excellent. The dessert (a Père Joseph) was perfect. As for the service, several people took care of us, and the entire staff was pleasant. I highly recommend this experience: the place is beautifully decorated, with themes that change regularly—my last visit was for Oktoberfest.

Restaurant where we usually enjoy going as a family, but a very average experience last night that wasn't really well managed today, so I'm sharing since apparently that's the only way to make your voice heard. I was charged for a bottle of wine instead of a glass. I admit I didn't see it when I paid. So I called this morning and was asked to call back this afternoon around 4 p.m., which I did. Then I was told that yes, mea culpa, they should have checked and that I had to come at 7 p.m. to get a refund. At 7 p.m. I was at the restaurant and I was reimbursed in cash, deducting the amount of the glass of wine, without an apology for the situation. I asked for a gesture of goodwill and for the glass of wine to be offered to me. I was told that we couldn't go that far and that they shouldn't have even made me come at that time, because the manager wasn't there and he was the one who should have made the refund. So I have to consider myself lucky that I wasn't messed around. It's a shame because the food is good (even if the fries used to be better) but the service needs to be improved. Not sure I'll go back.

We had a great time, friendly staff, very reasonable prices and pretty good quality food! A special mention for the homemade mayo!
