⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a good meal, and the place was very welcoming. However, the service unfortunately needs improvement. The attitude of some servers, both to each other and to customers, was quite unpleasant. For example, when we asked for a candle for two birthdays at our table, the waitress replied, "Well, I can't know if you don't tell me," before telling her colleague that it wasn't true. The platters were also rather poorly presented, especially the cheese platter.

Drinks and mixed platters in the evening. Good atmosphere and a screen showing a football match. A well-established establishment that remains an exception in this city. We've already had dinner there and we'll go back.

Friendly restaurant, good food and a great atmosphere

I've known this place for a long time (being from the north, you know) but haven't been back for 5 years. It's a shame they no longer serve horse meat, but otherwise it's great. No 5 stars because there are only two tills: one for the upstairs, one for the ground floor. Therefore, and given the number of covers, you have to choose your moment wisely to pay and avoid a massive queue. Another visit this Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and we're downgrading to 3 stars because, this time, I discovered that the chicken with Maroilles cheese that was served to me was indeed chicken, but not cooked in the sauce; it was simply covered in sauce. As a result, the chicken was a bit dry, which the sauce was supposed to redeem... A shame, my grandmother certainly didn't make it like that...

Everything is fine and the terrace at the back is very pleasant.

A very welcoming, family atmosphere and excellent cuisine worthy of the great chefs of the North. I highly recommend the Welsh rarebit, which is exceptional, as well as the 900g port steak. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food is very good and there's a great atmosphere, I highly recommend it for any occasion.
