La Toq' sur Nancy

When you walk into a restaurant of this caliber, you expect excellence. I've often heard good things about this place. The chef seems to have mastered inventive cuisine while respecting the quality of the ingredients. Perhaps it was just an off night… It all started well enough, though, with the amuse-bouche and the starter… But then, disappointment with the main courses. They lacked flavor; they were missing that little something extra to make you say, "Wow, this is haute cuisine!" The same went for the dessert, which was too heavy. The atmosphere remains chic, you have to be on your best behavior… Here, the service is no joke. A person just goes through the motions, reciting a script without any passion… It spoils the experience. We were offered wine pairings without even being told what we were going to drink. My partner ordered fish, and she was served a glass of red wine, extremely tannic… Without any explanation. No, really, it was bizarre. Unfortunately, this is not a gastronomic place that I can recommend.

We drove 115 km to enjoy a gift certificate from our children, and it was a delightful surprise. We opted for the €52 tasting menu; the dishes were beautifully presented and of remarkable quality, with service that matched the quality of the food. The sommelier expertly presented each course, perfectly complementing our meal with the wine pairings. The wine list is impressive in every sense of the word. In short, a gourmet restaurant where you never feel out of place thanks to the staff's kindness. If we return to Nancy, we know where we'll be having lunch. Many thanks again to the staff for this wonderful culinary experience.

A wonderful discovery! The market menu was excellent, beautifully presented, and very reasonably priced. Thank you! The service was perfect: attentive and friendly. Salt and sugar are flavor enhancers, and their use should be better controlled. For example, the floating island dessert had excellent cream, but the overly sweet pink candies only added a touch of originality. The decor was understated and tasteful, but the dining room was noisy due to the lively conversations of the other diners.

We ordered two set menus at €64 each. Excellent value for money. The dishes were very well cooked and beautifully presented. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The after-dinner drinks were a bit pricey, but in keeping with the establishment's high standard. We had a very pleasant evening.

Excellent cuisine in a very pleasant setting. Fresh, seasonal produce was cooked with passion to delight our taste buds. Our eldest daughter treated us to this meal, and we can only thank her profusely. A truly wonderful discovery. Well done to the entire team. (If I may make one small comment, it was a little chilly.)

You feel welcomed, listened to, and pampered. In short: an exceptional address, where everything is designed to offer a moment of pure gustatory and sensory pleasure. A gem not to be missed!

A wonderful discovery with friends. We were warmly welcomed and ordered a market menu. Starter, main course, and dessert for €28 Appetizers and sweet treats at the end of the meal. Excellent starter and main course, full of flavors and beautifully presented. One small drawback was the cream, which was very nicely presented, but it lacked a bit of lightness for the end of the meal and was a bit too sweet, which was a shame, as were the petits fours. The meal was served with a good white wine, Chardonnay from Domaine La Croix Belle. I recommend this restaurant.

Very good restaurant! The fish (BASIN) is exceptional… the service is quality… all in a modern and friendly setting. I recommend without hesitation

A lovely surprise. Fine menus at affordable prices. A splendid dessert. I'll be back!

It's not worth the money spent. When it came to cheese, those who ordered it only had enough to taste it. I don't recommend it.
