La Transat sur Calvi

Group of 10 people (6 adults and 4 children) welcomed on the evening of August 15 without reservation. Well done. Prices are correct for Calvi (Or Corsica). Well placed with a view of the CALVI citadel. The plates are of good capacity (even if I doubt the kilo of mussels) and the dishes are good. The copious children's menu and its reasonable price. The servers were excellent, friendly and smiling. I advise.

3 stars because I asked for a mint spittle and they brought me back a glass of ice and an Oreza sparkling water. You might as well tell me that there aren't any, it's not in the region! Drinks are not displayed on the menu!! excluding wines. I explain that that's not what I asked for, they give me a glass of mint ice cube syrup and Oreza. Okay, let's move on. Ordered a cheese and charcuterie platter with lobster ravioli and beef carpaccio on the menu. They brought me the 2 menus before my tray, I ended up with everything on the table! So yes my child was present but basically sharing board is the goal of sharing the board together and after that moving on to the hot meal. I explained he doesn't have a big appetite (jokingly) we will only take a plate from him and he will watch us eat.... To finish the cold cuts being in Corsica and for the price we expect Corsican cold cuts and don't tell me that it was.... then the extra flat ravioli, no taste of lobster and the sauce diluted, that doesn't mean it wasn't good just a little more filling and a smoother sauce was expected . There is nothing to complain about the carpaccio, we suspect that it is not strong, simply the seasoning was there etc... (Fortunately despite all that, it is largely edible and yes we finished our plates we paid for and we were hungry, we're just not wow so won't be worth more than 3 stars). For kindness we will serve you, it stops there.

I am very surprised by some comments because that is really not my feeling. We spent from Thursday to Sunday evening pleasant moments facing the port with a very warm welcome from the boss and his team who served us very good dishes. For my part, delicious Corsican mussels as well as the fish soup, swordfish, scallops, in short I recommend the Transat. Thanks again for the good times and see you next year.

Very friendly waiter and very good advice on wine. Excellent Roquefort mussels and delicious Corsican gourmet salad. Don't miss the succulent fig honey cake with financial paste.

Friendly staff, good food and generous plates! We want to eat early and many restaurants don't accept people before 12 p.m. At the Transat they welcomed us with pleasure. Thank you for this good time!

We were installed by the boss and very well advised. A royal mussel and a fisherman's pot. Sangria to go with it all. A very good evening on the port of Calvi.

Nous avons un peu choisi au hasard ce restaurant, mais ce fut une agréable surprise : Les plats étaient très bons, le service chaleureux, hormis une serveuse un peu froide mais largement compensé par les autres serveurs. Un rapport qualité/prix satisfaisant.
