La Venelle sur Mirebeau-Sur-Beze

We had a wonderful time at La Venelle. The dishes are delicious, entirely homemade, from the appetizers to the desserts. The staff is welcoming and the setting is pleasant. An ideal place to discover or rediscover traditional French cuisine.

Thank you to La Venelle for organizing our conscripts' meal. We ate very well, received a warm welcome, and our waitress was very friendly. Congratulations to the chef for this delicious meal.

A warm welcome, a family atmosphere, and impeccable service. The free-range eggs in meurette sauce were simply exceptional, the meat perfectly cooked, and the selection of Burgundy wines beautifully complemented the meal. A huge thank you to Chef Patrick, his family, and the entire team for their passion and hospitality. A truly authentic restaurant that we will gladly return to on our next trip to Burgundy.

To celebrate a birthday, we discovered this little restaurant whose dishes delighted us with traditional cuisine made from fresh ingredients. YUM!!

A Saturday night meal in a small restaurant where the dishes are a delight for both the eyes and the palate. A perfectly curated menu featuring fresh, expertly prepared ingredients. For an amuse-bouche, a creamy smoked asparagus soup. For my husband's starter, poached eggs in red wine sauce with foie gras and two generous slices of foie gras, and for me, a beautiful plate of local asparagus with gravlax salmon. For both of us, fresh scallops on zucchini tagliatelle with morel sauce. Delicious! The set menu includes a cheese plate or fromage blanc. For dessert, I had crème brûlée, and I also had a floating island with pink pralines, which I regret not ordering. All this for a very reasonable price of €39.50. Special mention goes to the waiter, who took excellent care of each table. The chef came by to chat at the end of service; it's always a pleasure to talk with someone who is truly passionate about his work. I sincerely recommend this restaurant to both locals and those just passing through.

I highly recommend this excellent service. The welcome was perfect, there was no waiting on arrival, and we had a very good time.

We managed to book a private lunch for four on a Saturday, almost by accident, but what an experience! The food was simply wonderful, the dining room private (the owner opened just for us and called his staff back 😅), and the service impeccable, friendly, and attentive. A huge thank you for this marvelous moment, and yes, there are still some truly great restaurants out there at reasonable prices! I highly recommend it!
