LA VIA ROMA sur Rennes

We stopped by chance on Via Roma. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was full, but he offered us a table within 15 minutes. We waited at the bar, enjoying a delicious homemade punch, which gave us the opportunity to meet the owner's charming daughter, who was working as a bartender that evening. We chatted with her and got to know the team, who are truly fantastic. We had amazing pizzas with an incredible crust. I don't usually eat the crust, but this time I ate it all! 💪 That's how amazing the crust is. Kudos to the two pizza chefs! 👍 And a little bonus: the "Papa Gourmand" dessert, which I absolutely loved. I won't say more; you'll have to discover it for yourselves! Well done to the whole team, keep up the great work! 👍👍👍👍 The Normans 😉

I discovered Villa Roma thanks to a friend, and I had never heard of this restaurant before. What a pleasant surprise! The pizza was delicious, and so was the tiramisu. The service was friendly. I had a wonderful time and a very enjoyable meal. I will definitely be back.

The staff were smiling and friendly, and the restaurant was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The wood-fired oven is a significant plus. The homemade pizza dough is good, but not exceptional—let's say satisfactory. The ingredients are fresh and good quality, so there were no unpleasant surprises or disappointments. Why am I writing a review? I found it expensive for the quantity/size of the pizza. I had to add extra toppings to eat my fill. I have a healthy appetite, but I'm not a glutton or a binge eater. So, I was disappointed, but I still gave it 3 stars, even though the average out of 20 is more representative of my opinion. After all, reducing portion sizes is the general trend; all restaurants are cutting back to maintain a similar turnover. But rather than a loyalty card and a free pizza after buying 9, I would prefer pizzas with a bit more topping. There you go :)

The pizzas are delicious, generously topped, and flavorful. The success is well-deserved: it's often packed at lunchtime, so be sure to book if you're in a group. It's easy to see why the place is always full 🍕

A very good pizzeria north of Rennes. The daily special is excellent. The gorgonzola pizza of the day was delicious.
