La Vieille Auberge sur Matignon

We have eaten here twice in the evening as it's around the corner from where we are staying. The menu is small but is very good. The octopus is great and the chicken burger is the best I have e ever had. My husband had oysters, very good, the pork main, also very good. Thoroughly enjoyed our evenings.

A restaurant not to be missed. The food is delicious. The menu changes with the seasons. Tonight, I had the Pluma de Pork with spring vegetables, it was a real treat! The meat was tender and flavorful, the vegetables tender and varied (fennel, turnip, carrot, new potato, green asparagus). My wife chose the fish and chips, perfect! We had already had the opportunity to enjoy meat dishes (chuck roast, lamb) or fish (sea bass) and it was always a renewed pleasure. Don't miss the grilled octopus either, which is a regular on the menu; it's fabulous. The service also deserves praise. Always a smile, which is pleasant. The atmosphere is family-friendly and calm because you can talk without being disturbed by a hubbub, even when it's full. In short, we highly recommend it.
