La Vieille Auberge is the restaurant of the luxurious Clos Castel hotel. The setting is sumptuous, the terrace shaded, and the dining room superbly decorated. The staff is professional, attentive, and takes excellent care of their guests. The cuisine is subtle and refined, and we highly recommend dining here. Reservations are essential as the restaurant is often full. A set menu is offered at lunchtime on weekdays for €26 (starter/main or main/dessert) and €31 (starter, main, and dessert). There are also two set menus served at lunch and dinner, and a seasonal à la carte menu featuring fresh, seasonal produce. We discovered divine flavors in a sumptuously presented dish. Bravo! It's no wonder you're a true institution in Casteljaloux. The wine list is varied and features carefully selected wines. The old inn also offers a wine shop service, allowing you to buy wine and take it away. A big thank you to Étienne and his entire team for this delightful experience.

Creative and perfectly executed cuisine, highly professional service, and a magnificent dining room. The wine list could have been a bit more extensive. If you're looking for a truly wonderful experience, go without hesitation.
