La Vieille Enseigne sur Strasbourg

Impersonal, even downright rude service. Waiting times: 15 minutes to order drinks, 30 minutes for an appetizer, 120 minutes for the main course. A shame, because the food was quite good, if not exceptional. There were 10 of us, and the restaurant was at most a third full. I wouldn't go there again.

A Michelin-starred restaurant. The interior is warm, welcoming, and elegant. Typical Alsatian cuisine with German influences is served. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable. I particularly recommend the pork shank, which is incredibly tender and memorable. The desserts are also noteworthy. Prices are in line with the location, but not excessive compared to the Strasbourg average.

The restaurant is very inviting. The menu offers a nice selection of very fine dishes. The service is very competent and very friendly.

The ham hock and the queen's mouth are exceptional.

Traditional Alsatian cuisine with generous portions. It's in a touristy area, but had a local clientele. A very extensive wine list of local choices, ranging from large to small producers, and high end to many reasonably priced selections. The owner was very helpful in recommending a great pairing. Service was friendly albeit a little slow, but that was because there was only one server plus the owner taking care of the entire restaurant that particular night. An authentic experience I would highly recommend.

We wanted to try a traditional Cordon Bleau and were very pleased with our choice (also influenced by the Michelin Guide). A very beautiful and elegant place, exquisite food, and impeccable service! They also brought us two small pretzels as a taster, warm and soft. The homemade spätzle served with it were also delicious.

Amazing food, great place and good service.

We went there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and the dishes served were a true testament to French gastronomy. The vol-au-vents were generous and absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
