A very nice place with quality products

Food was absolutely fantastic, as a China-born American-naturalized dude who has been to the most well renowned chinatowns across the globe, this place surprised me. Their tofu-duck dish was especially amazing, very rich and flavorful sauce, tender meats, and incredible texture. Make sure to ask for their chili oil.

After many visits and countless trials on the Chinese scene in Lyon, I can tell you, from an anonymous pseudonym—perhaps not entirely reliable, you might be right—but honestly, in my anonymity, haha: the best Chinese restaurant in Lyon, without a doubt. The more people who come, the better the value for money; it's only natural, everything should be shared, and the portions are designed with that in mind! Delicious dishes of all kinds for everyone: vegetarians, the eggplant is to die for; the crispy tofu is there to win you over; the lamb is there to surprise you; the Peking soup is there to seduce you... I've tried it all. My first restaurant as a Lyonnaise, and the last before leaving this charming city. Anyway, back to the main point: the garlic ribs, divine. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. The seasonings are there and just right, not deceitful like an excess of sauce that hides the disaster, or MSG that saturates your palate. The palate is just right and delicious. Textures are a key focus; I recommend varying the dishes, from simmered meats or fried vegetables to oily ravioli, and a soup to wash it all down. At the end, you leave rolling happily, often with a doggy bag in hand that won't stay in the fridge for long... 10/10, an emotional connection is probably felt? The terrace is fantastic!

We went there one evening when the restaurant wasn't very busy; it was relatively quiet and pleasant. The staff is attentive and the food is very good. Orders are taken by phone, which is quite convenient for those who prefer that method.

Excellent food, in generous portions, but it's a shame about the menu being accessed via QR code and orders being placed directly through the smartphone app. It all feels a bit impersonal... But the restaurant is still worth a visit for the quality of the dishes!

When I moved from New York to Lyon, I was worried about finding a good Chinese restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. I was thrilled to find this restaurant in my new neighborhood.

For our first trip to Lyon, after two bouchons (traditional Lyonnais restaurants), the allure of Asian cuisine led us to L’Abri du Dragon. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, which included breaded eggplant, baby squid seared with cumin, whole sea bass, and Shanghai cabbage with a duo of mushrooms. The flavors were exquisite and perfectly balanced, the service was attentive, and the bill seemed quite reasonable for such a generous portion.
