L'Absinthe sur Strasbourg

Very nice restaurant. Highly recommended.

We first visited here in 2015. We came back in 2026 and found the restaurant still here with the same owner. We found out that 2015 was the year the restaurant opened. I shared photos I took from then with our dinner party and with the owner. He even agreed to share in a group photo with us. As before, all beverages, entrees, and desserts were listed on chalkboards. As before, there was a communication about menu items not available or with limited availability. I really enjoyed my beef with pepper sauce and fries. The fish and chip style dish with cod and salmon also was enjoyed. Another in our group gave thumbs up to the pasta with shrimp. In the photos I share a memory of creme brulee being prepared in 2015 and again in 2026.

An absolutely delicious meal and a very welcoming Lazar. I wish a pleasant meal to all people of good taste who stop by 😉

A fantastic restaurant, far superior to the riffraff in the city center. We enjoyed our meal in a spacious setting. Highly recommended.

We had a delicious meal and tasty wines. The waiter let us taste the wines and offered suggestions. There were four of us and there was something for everyone. Relaxed, great atmosphere, excellent value for money!

Friendly staff, Alsacien inspired menu with some lovely different dishes. Limited menu which for me is a positive. All dishes were beautifully prepared and presented. Next I need to try the Absinthe menu.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Both my wife and I ordered the steak with fries, but with different sauces. Both dishes were delicious. Then, to top it all off, we had the creme brûlée for dessert. Excellent as well! The service was also fantastic. We'll definitely be back before we leave town.

A charming little restaurant offering about ten dishes. It's not very big, so it's best to book ahead. The owner is very friendly and attentive to his customers. There's no menu; everything is on a chalkboard that's moved from table to table. The penne with chicken liver was excellent, as was the burger. A unique feature of the restaurant is that you can sample absinthe with expert guidance from the owner. A glass costs €12, but it's worth trying. A good place for a pleasant evening.

Friendly staff and fast service. Little knowledge of local wines. The only drawback: a strong smell from the open kitchen, which lingers.
