21/09 : Première expérience à L'Alchimiste ... Félicitations très sincères au Chef pour ses plats divinement présentés et vraiment exquis, et à son épouse pour son service si délicat et professionnel. La salle est également très bien décorée, et l'on y apprécie le calme et la fluidité du service. Aucune fausse note, c'était juste parfait pour un menu à 32,50 €, un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Nous vous recommandons avec plaisir, n'hésitez surtout pas à réserver !

Really excellent food and great service. A little more choice for non fish/offal eaters with the starters would’ve been lovely but what we had was excellent and was supplemented with not one but two amuse bouche. Nice wine selection.

Regular customers of the Alchimiste for several years, it is clear that each time, all the dishes are delicious! The taste of the different ingredients is sublime, everything is homemade, not to mention the top presentation... We are always fully satisfied. A real treat, with good value for money. Bravo to the owners for so much investment in our taste buds.

Absolutely faultless lunch here this week. The flavors and execution were exceptional in every course and the food was well supported by local wines and great service. If you’re visiting Saumur this restaurant should be at the top of your list.

We had dinner at the alchemist last night, we had a great time! It was delicious, the menu is innovative, the service top 😊 Nothing to complain about, I highly recommend!

Très bonne table Saumuroise, jolie décoration, les plats sont maisons et très bien exécutés pour des prix corrects. Un vrai régal! De plus la propriétaire est très gentille et discrète. A faire absolument.

22/09/2024: A quick tour of this restaurant after our visit to the castle. Well presented plates, delicious and generous dishes. The servers are welcoming, kind and smiling. It's just a shame that there are no children's menus.
22/09/2024: Les plats en général étaient très bon, cependant, j’ai pris une pièce de boucher avec la sauce échalotes : la sauce était froide et l’échalote en gros morceau, sûrement le but de la sauce mais je pensais avoir une échalote ciselé. Je pense que ça serait mieux pour manger et surtout pour le goût de l’échalote étant peu présent. Le service assez médiocre, les serveurs on le temps de rien on dirait, ils ont oublié pas mal de choses qu’on a demandé plusieurs fois. Les prix sont relativement correct.

17/08/2024: I did not stay at the hotel but ate at the restaurant for lunch. I took the menu for 32 euros with starter, main course, dessert, since I have a sweet tooth and I like to discover regional specialties, I tasted it and trusted our waitress who was professional and kind.. From the aperitif, wine and dishes everything was excellent.. I had a great lunch in this very beautiful and very nice restaurant. Everything was perfect. Best wishes. Looking forward to returning to your establishment because the region is very nice and I will definitely come back.
