While passing through Saumur, we happened to have lunch there and it was a "good choice." Pleasant setting, attentive service, even if there was a bit of a delay between the starter and main course, but everything was well served and excellent for a €30 menu (starter, main course, dessert). An address to keep in my favorite restaurants.

We stayed at the Air BnB next door hosted by Francois and Lydie, which we also highly recommend. The meal was one of the best we had in France, wonderful fresh food and interesting flavours. Excellent choice of Loire wines, great service. A highlight of our trip.

Skilled and elevated cooking. Beautiful octopus bouillon to start followed by excellent cod with mushroom and artichoke. Poached pear, sesame meringue and chestnut desert. Very reasonable prices for such fine food and wines. The restaurant also offers set priced menus with good choice options. Highly recommended. Advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

We had a wonderful time. Everything was perfect: the welcome, the service, very professional without being stuffy, the cooking, the wine list, ... One of those places where you feel good. This was my third visit and I have no doubt that a fourth will be coming soon enough!

Fabulous meal in this lovely little restaurant tucked away in Saumur. The food was fantastic, perfect portions and flavours were awesome. Quite a small menu but great value for fine dining.

Small restaurant with a small terrace. Beautiful storefront. The dishes are tasty, well-cooked and presented. The menu isn't extensive; if you come often, you can quickly go round in circles. The prices are in line with the quality.

10/02/2026: A very warm welcome and pleasant setting. We had a wonderful meal, featuring local specialties. Excellent value for money. A place to discover or rediscover, as we did!
07/02/2026: We were charmed by this very friendly, welcoming bistro where the food is good and reasonably priced. It was 1:30 pm on Friday, and given the weather, the restaurants on the street were far from full, and most had already closed their kitchens. We arrived at this place and managed to find a table, as the restaurant was packed. The decor is simple but has a soul that you feel as soon as you walk in; you feel comfortable and as if you've been there countless times. Fabien, the owner, a true epicurean, is at the helm behind his bar and also helps out in the dining room when needed. He is expertly assisted by… (she forgot to give me her name) a professional waitress who is extremely helpful, attentive to her customers, and remarkably kind! As for the daily special, it was flawless: the quality, the portions, the taste… and the homemade fries were a real treat (and I know what I'm talking about, I'm Belgian 😉😀), you could come just for that! If you're a wine lover 🍷, you'll be in heaven, as the wine list would make 3-star restaurants green with envy, the variety is so vast! And if you're on good terms with the owner and/or a regular, you can enjoy a verbena elixir while chatting with him at the bar as you pay your (very reasonable) bill! The only reason I'm not giving it 5/5 is for the back room… there's only one toilet, and it's a pain when it's busy… anyway, I highly recommend it!
