As a frequent visitor to Limeray in Amboise, I've eaten at this excellent restaurant on many occasions.
It's not right at the foot of the castle, but a 5-minute walk away on a small street, with parking nearby.
It's a very pleasant surprise 🤩 The food is authentic and delicious, homemade, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
But above all, the food is excellent and reasonably priced!
The service is top-notch and always with a smile.
I highly recommend it 👏 I come back often and am always happy. 😉

We had one of our best meals in France tonight. Delicious home style cooking in very pleasant surroundings. There was only one other table occupied but it’s a restaurant slightly tucked away and perhaps there were fewer people in town. That didn’t lessen the enjoyment of our evening. Very friendly service and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

This French restaurant boasts excellent ingredients and cooking techniques. We ordered three set menus, a single cod fillet, and a children's meal. The filet mignon was delicious—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The cod fillet served with a wonderful mousse base, which had a delightful French cream soup flavor. The appetizers—cold soup, smoked salmon, and foie gras with bread—were also very tasty. My cheese-loving daughter was most excited about the cheese cart; it had a wide variety of unique cheeses to choose from, all paired perfectly with red wine. Overall, the service was relatively quick, making it suitable for families with children. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend it.

We were so happy to stumble upon this locally owned restaurant! The beef fillet is more tender and flavorful than you’ll find anywhere else. The sea bass was delicate with crispy skin. The service is excellent. The restaurant is cute and well kept, with the option to sit on the outside terrace, enclose courtyard, or inside, which is a cool relief from the summer heat. Highly recommend!
