Exceptional!!! A warm atmosphere in a small, family-run restaurant with quality local cuisine! A Mondeuse red wine, a delightful discovery, perfectly complemented a plate of slow-cooked Mouflon of Olympic caliber… a gold medal for this exceptional culinary escape!

A very pleasant place with a good atmosphere and a perfect quantity

The three of us have visited this charming restaurant nestled in the mountains twice. The food is delicious, especially the Savoyard fondue, which is simply divine! The service is impeccable; the waitresses are very pleasant and create a wonderful atmosphere. They are truly made for the restaurant business, and I wish them continued success in this field, keeping their smiles and kindness. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant; I would even say it's a must! Best of luck to the entire team at L'Alpage!

A wonderful evening marred by an unfortunate incident at the end of the meal… We came as a group of eight to the L’Alpage restaurant and had a fantastic time for about 90% of the evening. The atmosphere is typically Savoyard, warm and authentic, just the way we like it in the mountains. The dishes were truly excellent: quality ingredients and generous portions. For a group, it was a real shared pleasure, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately, everything changed at the very end of the evening because of a misinterpreted comment (a single sentence, taken out of context, and immediately clarified and explained by several other members of the group. I want to emphasize that there were no insults or impolite remarks directed at the person). Despite a calm and polite attempt to explain the situation to the staff, the discussion was unsuccessful. A member of the restaurant staff (whose name I will not mention here out of respect) let their personal mood get the better of them in a very abrupt manner. The result: we were subjected to unjustified group insults in front of other customers who were visibly uncomfortable. The atmosphere became heavy and unpleasant, completely ruining what had been a perfect meal. For your information, the bill came to approximately €480, and we were respectful customers, without a single complaint from neighboring tables throughout the entire dinner. I want to emphasize that no one claims money buys you everything, but when you spend a significant amount in an establishment, you expect at least a level of professionalism that allows you to take a step back from a seemingly insignificant situation, especially when several witnesses confirm that there was nothing malicious or offensive. Thank you to M….. for their complete lack of understanding… It's a real shame, because the potential is there: the food and setting are very well done. But this gratuitous and disproportionate incident deeply disappointed us, and unfortunately, we will not be returning. I am posting this review with great regret, as I would have preferred to only talk about the positive aspects.
