We had a wonderful time at L’Ami Louis! The fish soup and foie gras were simply divine, and very generous portions. The beef fillet was also a generous portion and perfectly cooked.
We had a fantastic time in this historic and charming place with a truly special atmosphere. A truly wonderful experience, thank you to the whole team! We will definitely be back.

By far the best restaurant in Cape Town. Real food. Not a mediocre tourist trap like L'Arlequin or other bland burger joints for those ignorant of our cuisine.
The value for money is excellent compared to what we've spent elsewhere.
We went on my birthday and were even surprised to be offered two glasses of champagne. Which these days is more than surprising.
The staff is incredibly attentive. A superb evening and a real pleasure to go out to eat.

Thank you so much for this wonderful evening! We came as a family of five, including three children aged 2 to 8.
The food was absolutely delicious, and on top of that, the welcome was warm and very accommodating, even for the little ones. It's so rare to be treated like that with children!

Hello, we came with friends one evening and received a perfect welcome. We hadn't booked, but they found us a table, which was wonderful, especially since there were eight of us. The waitress was fantastic 😊 Everyone was very kind. The beef fillet was excellent, as was the sole. The side dishes were just okay, a shame. The steamed vegetables lacked a bit of flair. The profiteroles were amazing! I have two complaints: the foie gras—let's not mince words—was awful, tasteless, and completely mushy. And I think it's too expensive for what we ate. That's just my opinion! The one-star deduction is really for the price and the foie gras.
