We visited as a group of five and arrived fairly early without a reservation. Luckily, we were able to get a table—but it’s clear that booking ahead is usually necessary, given how popular the place is.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a charming vintage style. The crackling fireplace creates a warm, cozy atmosphere that really enhances the dining experience. The service was impeccable throughout—attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly.
Without a doubt, this was the best meal we had during our entire stay. We ordered the red wine fondue and the pierre chaude (hot stone), both served with a side of gratin. The gratin, in particular, was exceptional—easily the best we’ve ever tasted. The wine fondue was equally delicious and full of flavor.
If there’s one small point for improvement, it would be the tenderness of the meat, which could have been just slightly better. With that one adjustment, the experience would be truly Michelin-star worthy.
As we left, there was already a line forming outside, which says everything about how good this restaurant is. Highly recommended!

A mountain restaurant with quality ingredients, where the generous cuisine will delight your taste buds. The staff were very accommodating, welcoming us at 2 pm without any problem. We left completely satisfied.
Be aware of the price, though: expect to pay around €50 per person. We shared a starter, a main course, and a dessert.

This restaurant was recommended to us last night. We were probably lucky to get in, I advise maybe best to book.
We were greeted by friendly staff and both the wait staff that served us were lovely.
We opted for a la carte. My husband had the steak burger and I the Vension with a mushroom sauce and potato gratin. The food was delicious, hot and a good portion.
We had a pitre of cote de rhone between us- melted into the palette and just the right amount for two.
Dessert was a creme brulee- very classic and I went with the recommendation of tarte tartin. The apple pie was almost like a deconstructed version but so good. Lovely warm spiced apple that was plump, with some burnt sugar and the tart pastry was beautiful.
We loved the decor and atmosphere. Loved watching people slicing the cheese off a huge wheel to go with the meats!
Such a delight, we hope we can go one more time before our holiday ends.

The place is really lovely, unfortunately the food didn't impress us. We were very disappointed by the raclette; the potatoes were tasteless and even sprouted, lacking flavor and quality. The charcuterie was very average. It's a shame because the experience could have been great with better quality products.

A very nice restaurant, a very warm welcome, the menu might be a bit too touristy... But then again, we're in a very touristy ski resort. It's still a good place to eat... You shouldn't compare it to more traditional cuisine... or traditional Savoyard fare. But a good place to eat, for a week's ski holiday lol... But a rather expensive bill 😐

Excellent experience! The service was impeccable, fast, attentive, and very professional.
The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented; you can taste the quality of the ingredients. We had a truly wonderful time. I highly recommend it!

We loved this restaurant. The chalet is beautifully decorated, making it very cozy. The terrace is spacious and boasts a lovely view. The service is attentive. The food is decent, but could be more flavorful. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time!
