L'Ane Rouge sur Saint-Cyprien

I'm particularly fond of this place: breathtaking view of the port, well-spaced tables, attentive staff, and delicious, affordable food. We return as a family every year. I highly recommend L'Âne Rouge, which is one of my favorite restaurants in St. Cyprien.

A very nice restaurant with excellent value for money (set menu under €23 for a starter, main course, and dessert). Everything was excellent, the waiter was very friendly, and we had a great time. We'll gladly come back!

I had a very good experience twice at this restaurant in June 2026. The dishes are varied and very good, their red sangria is excellent, and the service is efficient and very friendly. Very good value for money.

Long service, half done and not very friendly! Good food, it’s like being at Picard! There is neither quality nor quantity. Disappointed ....

We used to come here occasionally and it was generally a good experience, but tonight was a disappointment 😅 The waiter gave us a very pleasant welcome, which was a good start. Then the menu arrived, and we decided to order two fruit juices at €3 each (see photo of the menu), as well as some tapas. The service took a while to arrive, but given the number of customers, it was acceptable. The first problem arose when we received our fruit juices: one was served in a small 25cl glass bottle (the strawberry juice), and the other (banana juice) directly into a glass. Doubting, we put the two glasses side by side to see the difference, which we'll let you judge for yourselves in the photos. We called the waitress over to mention this inconvenience, and she replied that she was sorry and that the banana juice was only available in a large bottle. No upgrade... Second surprise, when the bill arrived! On the menu we received, which said €3 for juice, the final bill came to €3.40! My girlfriend told him we had €3 written on the menu, and he laughed, showing us a black and gold menu that said €3.40. Too bad for him, we took a picture of the original menu. We've included it in the caption as well. In total: we paid €6.80 for two fruit juices, one of which wasn't even 25cl. The tapas were good, and the poor, overworked waiters were pleasant nonetheless (except for the person who took our payment). Disappointed. Pay attention to the prices displayed versus the actual prices paid, and avoid ordering banana juice served by the glass. ☺️ Edit: Thank you for the professional response, we'll definitely be back.
