Food was outstanding. Five of us ordered different items and everyone was very pleased. Service was good and friendly, but not especially fast. But overall, a great experience. Would love to visit again.

Lovely restaurant with great food and service. The room did get a little noisy when full but that can be fixed with some soft fabrics and curtains. Would go again.

Wow!!! What an unexpected delight! We managed to get a last minute table when we arrived in Bayeux and were so impressed! The service was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! The lamb and beef meals were both fantastic. The mash potato, really special. The desserts…. Yummo!!!! So good we went a second time! Book it!!

Le Moulin de La Galette

01/03/2026: A fantastic first experience at Moulin de la Galette! Reservations are highly recommended, especially for a Saturday night. I had the Honfleur crêpe with truffled ham, scallops, and roasted squash. My friends ordered the "Bessin" crêpe with bacon, caramelized onions, and Camembert cheese, all accompanied by a glass of cider. For dessert, the pistachio crème brûlée was delicious. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere in the veranda overlooking the stream was lovely.
24/02/2026: For the past four winters I have stayed in Bayeux for extended periods, and this is my favorite restaurant. I highly recommend making a reservation for lunch or dinner, it's easy to do so on their website and they follow up immediately. In my experience, the hospitality, the quality of the food and service, is stellar. I'm privileged to have become friends with the family owners and can promise you that they care deeply about the quality of their customers' experience, which is very important to me. Please don't miss a chance to dine here, c'est extraordinaire !!

19/05/2026: Fantastic!! We were a party of 4, and everyone enjoyed all courses, the wine, atmosphere, and service. Beautiful, quaint spot with a cozy atmosphere. Our server was so very nice, and even though he was working alone that night, he never seemed rushed or impatient with anyone. The bonus was they have a dedicated gluten free/lactose free menu for anyone needing that. The choices were many, which is not often the case. We ate at other Michelin rated restaurants during our time in France, and this one ranks the highest for me.
16/05/2026: We first visited this restaurant for a birthday celebration. I agree with the many positive reviews: La Rapière is undoubtedly a sure bet. The service is prompt, everything is beautifully presented and delicious. We will most certainly return as we were won over by this place. An address to remember! (Be sure to book in advance as they are often full.)
