Perfect lunch! Excellent welcome, very pleasant, friendly, and smiling service. Refined cuisine and high-quality ingredients. A children's menu that will satisfy little gourmets. A great place to discover.

We had a very good meal, a warm welcome, and excellent service from friendly staff. Our only slight criticism was the limited choice on the €41 set menu (only one option for starter, main course, and dessert) and the rather high prices of the à la carte dishes and wines in general. A lower-priced entry-level wine selection would be appreciated.

Food was excellent. Service was attentive and answered questions about the menu. They were very busy so it took a bit of time to get our check. Unfortunately the weather was very warm outside with little air movement, so it was a little warm in the restaurant, even at 20:00. Not much the restaurant could do about that. I would go back.

Wonderful meal in Bayeux. The steak, the veal and the pork were all excellently prepared and the flavors delicious. The deserts were also quite inventive. The two ladies running the front of the house were attentive without being overwhelming… and delivered better service than restaurants with more staff. You won’t be disappointed.

Au Louis d'Or

30/06/2026: We stumbled upon this fantastic crêperie by chance. We chose a table outside. We received a very warm welcome. We ordered two crêpes and coffee with milk. One crêpe came with salted caramel, apple compote, cinnamon ice cream, and flaked almonds for €6.50, and the other had salted caramel, candied orange segments, and was flambéed with Grand Marnier for €5.90. Both were excellent, especially considering the great price. Highly recommended!
29/06/2026: Le Louis d'Or is an excellent crêperie. The value for money is unbeatable: for €13, you get a savory galette as a main course, a sweet crêpe or ice cream for dessert, a drink (including beer or cider), and a coffee (or tea). Add to that a particularly friendly waitress, and you have an unmissable stop when visiting Bayeux.

16/05/2026: I had a pork tenderloin with a mushroom based sauce here that absolutely blew my mind. The most perfectly cooked piece of meat I enjoyed over 10 days in France! Definitely make a reservation here for one of your nights in Bayeux.
