L'Aquarelle sur Chartres

03/09/2024: Arriving by chance at the La Broche du Sud restaurant, we left delighted, delicious liver and fresh fig terrine as a starter, delicious dishes, skewer of sirloin fillet and very tender lamb shank and to finish an excellent homemade baba with pipettes of rum, 30.99 euros per person, who could say better!!!! I recommend 100% Plus, opposite the cathedral 😃

13/08/2024: Having foolishly failed to reserve Chartres Saturday dinner en route from Biarritz to Calais, the utterly lovely ladies of la Brochet' du Sud took mercy on us (they are right next to the Cathedral) and found us a table. Their chef stayed open late to replenish us with delicious speciality meat and fish hanging brochettes, a great half bottle of pouilly fume and some mouth watering chef special desserts. All this was enjoyed with a backdrop of stunning Chartres cathedral illuminations, at a very reasonable cost. Thank you to the kind ladies of la Brochet' du Sud. In our view, you are on your way to sainthood.
