Tomate & Piment sur Chartres

We had a great time on the terrace. The service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Passing through Chartres today, we didn't want to go to a tourist trap and stumbled upon this restaurant with its incredibly tempting menu. A warm welcome, smiles all around, and a pleasant atmosphere. And what a delicious meal! Between the veggie burger and the salmon poke bowl, we were in heaven! And the cocktails… 😍😍 If we ever return to this beautiful city, we'll definitely come back to your restaurant with immense pleasure!

Very good food in very generous portions

It had been a while since we'd been here. We really enjoyed the meal.

A few months after my previous visit to Tomate et Piment, there are no significant changes to my initial review, which is quite positive. Overall, my comments remain very positive. However, the giant profiterole is still served with cold chocolate sauce... Initial visit to Tomate et Piment: This restaurant, Tomate et Piment, has been in Chartres for many years. Its location, slightly outside the heart of the old town, is close to the train station. The varied menu offers dishes with a Cajun or Mexican influence. But everyone will find something more classic to their liking! The dishes are flavorful and well-prepared. The portions are generous, and those with smaller appetites will certainly have trouble finishing everything. Two things to note: the rum baba is served with three different infused rums that you can use as you wish to soak your baba, and the extra-large giant profiterole is also available. Two minor drawbacks, however: the cocktails, while pleasant, were relatively low in alcohol...and, in my opinion, the profiterole, which deserved to be served with hot chocolate rather than cold chocolate. A place worth discovering in Chartres.

Not satisfied, they didn't listen to my requests, I didn't want rice, they gave it to me... I didn't see the green beans...

Always excellent, very pleasant staff; we always have a great time when we go to this restaurant.
