L'Aquarium sur Leucate

The welcome was not at all friendly.

Passing through L'aquarium, a very trendy establishment, we found among other things a deal with 9 oysters and a glass of white wine, my wife took 12 enormous pink prawns, and I also took 12 oysters to go, the two waitresses were very pleasant.

A truly perfect experience. A very warm welcome, quick, efficient, and pleasant. The setting is lovely, with two terraces and an indoor dining area. There's a view of the kitchens and the shellfish. The price is very reasonable, and above all, the food is excellent. You can order as you go if needed. I highly recommend this restaurant. There's only one drawback, but it's not related to the restaurant itself; it concerns the parking. I tried leaving a message with the town hall without success. The parking lot is awful! No maintenance, no markings on the ground, no sidewalks, and especially nothing adapted for people with disabilities. We had a person in a wheelchair with us, and we had to park in the middle of the roundabout to help them get out of the car. This is unacceptable. Such a touristy place with parking like this is negligent.

We enjoyed excellent oysters. A perfect white wine paired perfectly with them. Truly perfect. Quick service. ONLY A DRAWBACK: the waitress shouldn't have aired her grievances in public with the other young waitress. A glass wasn't clean on a table some distance from ours. She called the young woman over, pointed it out... okay... except that the whole room could hear her say that she was a worker just like her and that she was tired of being portrayed as the bad guy. That's just not acceptable in front of customers. Period.

Excellent service and delicious oysters; they could have used a little more aioli or vinegar sauce to go with them.

I've been three times and kept coming back because the first time, three or four years ago, we felt very comfortable and the food was good. The oysters were fantastic, but they really need to improve their customer service. No one even looked at us when we came in, they didn't bring us the menu, and they made a mistake with the bill. Everything was bad. They seemed unenthusiastic. While I'm at it, the restroom needs cleaning and toilet paper. With all the options available, I'd choose another place because the prices hardly vary.

What a shame! Store-bought mayonnaise! And shallot vinegar in full sun! The oysters and shrimp were good. The waitress was very friendly.

A great place to sample the famous local oysters from Leucate. Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants. I highly recommend ordering the large oysters and the mussels.

Passionate people, more than just businesspeople! A truly welcoming atmosphere and a fantastic experience! I highly recommend this place for a great meal and a comfortable atmosphere. The quality of the products is fabulous, with some wonderful discoveries, not to mention the more than reasonable prices for this level of quality. For lunch, dinner or afternoon tea there is always someone who will serve you fresh oysters, don't hesitate!
