17/05/2026: We ate at the Auberge de la Tuilerie and had a truly wonderful time.
The restaurant is an authentic French inn with good food and a friendly atmosphere. This combination is what makes it so appealing.
The menu is classic French and pleasantly down-to-earth. The set menu for €42 is, in my opinion, perfectly balanced. The choices include head cheese, salad with smoked duck breast and foie gras, homemade salmon gravlax, or escargots. For main courses, there's onglet (veal or beef), Black Angus steak, veal cordon bleu, or fish in white wine sauce.
We ordered several dishes, and everything was cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. The steak, the onglet with cream sauce and vegetables, and the crème brûlée for dessert were particularly good. The crème brûlée was exactly as it should be: beautifully caramelized on top, creamy underneath, and not too sweet.
We had several dishes at our table, and everything was cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and served in generous portions. The kids had burgers, which were a big hit. Generously topped, beautifully presented, and just the thing when you're dining with children and don't want to get bogged down in a debate about French classics.
The drinks menu is also refreshingly straightforward: Crémant, Spritz, Mojito, Hugo, Limoncello Spritz, and non-alcoholic options. All affordable and without any unnecessary frills.
In short: Authentic French cuisine, good value for money, and a restaurant where you feel comfortable in a relaxed atmosphere.
Highly recommended. We would definitely come back.
