29/03/2026: The waiter was decidedly too familiar, the service was a bit slow, no carafe of water was offered, and he wasn't keen on a dog bag. The food was fundamentally lacking in seasoning.

30/12/2025: While passing through the region, we had trouble finding a reasonably priced hotel near Strasbourg (Christmas period). I chose this one, but I must admit I was very disappointed after paying €240 (in advance) for two nights (without breakfast). I should mention that the staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel seems old and, in our opinion, desperately needs a renovation. We arrived at 5 or 6 PM, and the reception desk was closed with a shutter, and the room keys were left on it… Anyone could have entered our room… I was very surprised by this system. The room itself was small but adequate, and the bed was very small but sufficient. The floral bedspread looked dated, as did the mismatched velvet cushions. Hygiene-wise, non-washable velvet cushions have no place on a bed where different people sleep each night… this bothered me greatly… the pillows were thin and uncomfortable. The rooms have no soundproofing: we could hear the dog barking at the other end of the hotel, the construction work, and even the people using the bathroom in the next room… (🫨). The heating is inadequate and it gets cold quickly, especially in December. For breakfast, we paid €50 for two people for two mornings (€11.50 x 4 + tax). There was little choice, and few, if any, savory options, so we made do with what was on offer. In short, considering the prices, I think the hotel should be modernized and renovated (while still retaining its typical Alsatian charm).

29/12/2025: A 3-night stay over the holidays, good value for money and a welcoming staff. Everything went smoothly. The hotel isn't brand new, but the bathroom has been renovated and the bedding is comfortable; I felt right at home. The beautiful view of the Ill River adds a lot of charm to the hotel.

01/04/2026: Terrible and unreachable service. I tried placing an order by phone, calling five times in a row, leaving 15 minutes between each attempt to give them a chance to answer, but no one ever picks up. It's all the more frustrating because orders never seem to be received or processed properly. If you can't provide customer service or manage order taking, you'd be better off removing your number from your listing. Very disappointed by this lack of professionalism, I will not be using their services again.

01/04/2026: Unacceptable for a fast-food restaurant. I tried calling three times, but no one answered. It's a complete waste of time, totally unprofessional. Absolutely avoid it.

09/03/2026: Great menu for a festive restaurant! A great find in Erstein! Just be prepared to be very patient with the service.

08/03/2026: I gave it one star, and I don't think it's possible to give zero stars at all! The service was completely unprofessional, very slow, and disorganized. The duck breast was barely warm, and the panna cotta dessert was served in canteen-style glasses... I visited the toilets, which have no ceiling, leaving the pipes exposed, and the cleanliness was equally appalling. Totally disappointed. Obviously, I don't recommend it. 😏😏

20/02/2026: We had lunch using a "gourmet menu" gift certificate. The dishes were very good, made with high-quality ingredients. The accompanying drinks were excellent. Mr. Kalt doesn't skimp on quality. The service was excellent; kudos to the young woman who served us—she was very witty and elegant. We also appreciated being welcomed by Mr. Kalt. A very enjoyable experience.

15/03/2026: It was our first visit. The appetizer was presented carelessly and tasteless, and the raw vegetables seemed processed. The cordon bleu was good. The service was adequate, but as soon as the restaurant is full, the staff is overwhelmed. We weren't asked if we wanted dessert, and we waited a very long time until we asked for the bill. It's a real shame. The restaurant lacks a certain warmth and friendliness.

31/01/2026: A good roadside restaurant. Good food and reasonable prices... always packed, which proves it's a good place.

19/04/2026: Visited hotel with a tourist group from Slovenia and we were satisfied with everything - rooms are big, modern, clean and cosy, breakfast is very diverse (...it would be nice if they had more of fresh vegetables) and good (loved the bread and cheese selection), parking space was enough for 55 seater. I highly recommend.

10/04/2026: Honestly, this hotel is a complete disaster. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the filth: dust everywhere, questionable sheets, a barely cleaned bathroom… it's simply unacceptable. It feels like the house hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The overall condition of the establishment is pitiful: worn-out equipment, damaged furniture, unpleasant smells in the hallways… nothing makes you want to stay. Even the common areas are neglected, which speaks volumes about the management's professionalism. As for the service, it's simply deplorable. The staff is either absent or rude, and completely incapable of responding to even the most basic requests. No consideration for guests, no professionalism whatsoever. I strongly advise against this hotel. Absolutely avoid it, unless you enjoy paying for a truly unpleasant experience.

14/02/2026: The entrance was a bit oppressive, but the bowling alley is superb.

02/02/2026: I went to Bowling Palace this weekend with some friends. Everything went very well. A pleasant atmosphere, good food, and a relaxing time. The staff are excellent. I recommend it.
