I recommend L’Ardoise crêperie in Quimper for its galettes and crêpes, with a wide selection of fillings and the option to create your own. The service is quick and the prices reasonable. Friendly staff.

We arrived at 1 p.m. in the middle of July, but we still managed to get a table. The galettes are huge and delicious. There's a wide variety of choices, they're generously filled, and the place is pleasant.

We had a very good meal at this restaurant. The dishes were excellent, the service was quick, and the welcome was very warm, which allowed us to have a very pleasant time. However, we were surprised by the price of the drinks: €10.40 for two mint-flavored waters, which is more than €5 each. The reason given was that we had ordered two large glasses, so instead of paying for two glasses, the restaurant charged us for four mint-flavored waters, double the price. In the heat of summer, this practice seemed unprofessional and somewhat marred what was otherwise a very enjoyable experience. It's a shame, because everything else was truly excellent.

A really great place with excellent quality food. Maxime is just like the rest of the staff: helpful, friendly, and witty! 😉😉 The sausage galette was absolutely delicious!!!

05/03/2026: My usual crêperie was full, and I stumbled upon this timeless restaurant tucked away in a courtyard near the Quimper train station. Everything seems frozen in the 80s/90s: spacious tables, period decor, a welcoming waiter with his lanyard draped over his arm, a wine list binder with photos and descriptions of the wines and their producing regions, Tavel served in an ice bucket with glasses regularly refilled 😳 The food is simple, homemade, and delicious. Wines are reasonably priced and mostly available by the half-bottle. A very pleasant surprise that I will gladly return to.
